Q&A - Personal

Do you train? What does your schedule look like?

I train 5 to 7 days a week. 2 to 3 days at Rynoland and then i pick local tracks to go practice on. So far on the books i have a couple GP's I am going to race. Lake Elisonre gp, starwest gp, cahuilla gp, and a gp @ rynoland in dec. I will be racing the Over The Hill Gang series as well as SRA events @ glen helen starting in june of 2009 thanks to my sponsers Panolin oil, Smx optics, CIA ,Langston racing , Epic sports cam, Livewire Energy, No-Toil,and Factory backing. Then of course I will be @ soboba gp in feb 2010 to claim my podium spot! I n 2010 i would like to race the amatuer days at glen helen and maybe hangtown. Definitely going to try some local AMA hare scrambles and WORCS series events.

Employment / Experience Summary

I do general construction when I am low on funds. I worked for my same employer for over 10 yrs. With the recent economic crisis i got laid off in dec and pretty much focused on trianing for the soboba gp. I work when i can get work but lets face it id rather ride! lol who wouldnt?

What inspires you to compete?

I have always liked racing . As i kid we raced on my street using bmx bikes with a self made course through driveways , over curbs and around trees. It was always fun to race my friends. No matter what the results were we all had a great time. Yes racing is about being #1 but to me you cant get there unless your having fun.

Why do you like this sport?

I like this sport because the people are great and so is the atmosphere. Family sports are the best. Its the only sport i know with 30 riders battling bar to bat with each lap having changing conditions. All parts of the body are moving constantly as well , especially the hands and feet shifting and braking.

How's Life Treating You?

Life has been great thus far and is getting better. Life is what you make it. I am trying to make the most of it. Sponsorship opportunities are helping me get farther along as well more seat time. They help save me money and maintain my bikes. In return that lets me be able to visit the track alot more for training and give me the ability to race more in events. So i give Special thanks to them and represent them well on and off track.

Q&A - Competition

How did you get started?

I attended glen helen in 2005 for the outdoor nationals. I got hooked from then on.

List your competitive highlights:

Raced ABA state championship series in 2004. got my state plate and rocked it for a year. Only raced once so far in motocross. It was the soboba grand prix 2009 placed 4th in 30+

What are you planning for next season?

To get as many gp's in as possible and train @ rynoland for outdoor nationals and hare scrambles

What has been your biggest accomplishment?

Placing 4th in the state championships in bmx in 04. Getting a top 5 in my first mx race ever
