My Sports

How did you get started?

I got started on two wheels with motocross when I was 10 years old. I raced 80cc bikes for 3 years. After riding a streetbike for 2 years I decided roadracing would be a lot of fun.

List your competitive highlights

For the 2006 WERA North Central Region, I competed in 3 classes(LWT Twins SS Nov,HWT Twins SS Novice, and Formula 2 Nov)I raced in 9 events finishing 1st 7 times, 2nd 11 times, and third 3 times. My lowest finish was 5th, with the exception of 1 DNF and two DNS's. I won my regional championships in all three classes. In 2007 I moved up to the 600cc motorcycles with the help of Cycle Search International. I climbed aboard a 2006 GSXR 600 and began the steep learning curve of the inline machines. After only a few race weekends I earned my first podium as an expert, as well as being on a 600. 2007 was a tough year that saw me struggle with different tire brands and getting used to the new motorcycle. The expert level was a big step, but has made me a much better rider. I ended the 2007 season with two top ten finishes at the AMA Road Race Grand Championships at the Mid-Ohio Sportscar Course, finishing 9th in the Pro-am 600cc Supersport class, and 7th in the Formula 1000 class aboard a 600. I finished in the top ten in a couple classes in the season points standings in my WERA Region.

What are you planning for next season?

The 2008 season will see me aboard the same bike as 2007, although this year the GSXR will be a much more competitive machine with an engine being built to the limits of the superstock rules. I plan to compete in multiple WERA Regions as well as some national events, and the big event will be racing at the AMA Superbike Series stop at Mid-Ohio Sportscar Course. This will be my professional debut in the Formula Extreme class.

What has been your biggest accomplishment?

Winning all three of my regional championships in my first year of competition.
