In Raleigh this week with a focus on Waste Reduction.  Recycling is not just for treehuggers, it is common sense and is just as important if not more so than brushing your teeth!  No one wants a landfill in their backyard - so do your part - REDUCE, REUSE, and RECYCLE!

P.S. Cocoa was sweet, but I got a case of the thigh splint (tendon pulled from bone with pieces of bone pulled away - not quite as gnarly as it sounds, but still hurts a little) 

Okay yes I really am a treehugger and yes that is my job.  I will be away from the beach next week, attending the Carolina Recycling Association Conference in Raleigh NC. 

Waves did not cooperate last weekend for the On Shore Surf Shop Countyline Classic so they will be having that this weekend, but I will be in Cocoa Beach.  Enjoy the weekend and see you at the beach after the CRA Con.

Hey there fellow water lovers,

My buddy George at On Shore Surf Shop is having the annual County Line Classic (NTB/Surf City) this weekend (March 15th).  Hope you signed up for this one - it should be fun.  Too bad I have to work, but all is good - I am working at the Go Green Fest in downtown Jacksonville, NC.  So spend your morning at the Countyline and then go hang at the Go Green Fest in the afternoon.

Yep it is that time of year again when I start planning the Keep Onslow Beautiful

Earth and Surf Fest at North Topsail Beach. 

This is an Environmental Awareness Event + Surf Comp.  This year we are adding a 5K Run/Walk for Clean Air, and Volley Ball Tourney for the Turtles.  We are still looking for sponsors up until June 1st.
