Why do you like this sport?
I like the competitive nature of motocross. There is a rush you get when you are battling with a guy for position. The way it feels on the starting gate is pure adrenaline, fight or flight,- heart pounding, butterflies in your stomach- but it all goes away when the gate drops and the competition starts.
Do you train? What does your schedule look like?
I have a steady work out routine. Three days a week I weight train, ride the exercise bike, and run on the treadmill. I also make sure to ride three days a week whether it be working on technique or putting in motos. I also do a little play riding in between.
Music?
Hard rock and alternative are probably my favorites.
How's Life Treating You?
Good. I have a wonderful 13 year old son who races with me. It`s awesome watching him grow up and love riding. I recently got married to a beautiful woman who is very supportive.
Do you like to travel? What's your best (clean) road trip story?
Yes. In 2004 we went to Stillwater, Oklahoma for Dirt Week at Copperland Raceway. While we were there my good friend dislocated his shoulder and broke his collarbone. There was a rider/doctor at the track who put his shoulder back in. My friend refused to go to the hospital until we got home. He laid in the back seat the whole way home, which is 12 hours, and moaned every time we hit a bump.
