friends!!!

Bill's Beer Run, so far no pain :)

2010!!!!

my first triathlon race ever, my timing chip didn't work. i wore my polar heart monitor the entire time so i knew my overall time and i also had some team mates in the same wave so i knew how i placed between them. sure i was disappointed that i didn't get my time, more because i was looking for a training tool. so i emailed the race director to see if maybe they could help. this was two months ago, i just checked the results again tonight to compare with some other racers and i see that they have assigned me a time. the only thing is it's not MY time. i came out of the water more than two minutes faster than the time they have posted, and in all honesty my transitions were longer because i'm not clipped in yet. is this right? i'm a crazy to feel that i'd rather not have a time posted than to have one that's not my own?

i'm still new to racing and triathlons. i found that all races are not created equal and some are more organized than others. and there are things that are out of your control but you have to roll with it and be prepared. work through the un-ideal conditions. it makes you stronger, better.
