Overview

How I got started

My first motorcycle was a TTR90 in 2001. I rode trails and poker runs just for fun. I raced for the first time at a local track. I wrecked quite a few times but kept trying. After that I got a bigger bike and kept racing.

Goals for the Future

I placed well in my first series at Pacific Raceways (both classes). I will be riding Washougal frequently and entering as many mx events as possible for the experience. I am planning on doing as many local track series and AMA races as I can over this upcoming year.

What has been your most embarrassing moment?

My most embarrassing moment (so far) was at one of my first races at a small local track. My friend and I were racing against each other. We just passes the checkered flag and were coming off of the track. He slowed down to give me a thumbs up and I ran into him. We both fell fell over.

Do you train? What does your schedule look like?

I train with our local Pro rider Eric Waunch. I have taken several classes with him and plan on taking 2-3 classes each month and using the skills I learn to improve my riding skills and tecniques. Eric has really helped me improve on my riding, speed and confidence. I practice at various tracks around the area. I practice on a regular basis at least once or twice a week, but like to practice more when I can. I

Why do you compete?

I like to race and compete because of the challenges involved. Each races pushes me to do my best. It gives me the opportunity to use the techniques I`ve learned and also to learn from my mistakes and try harder in the next practice or race.

Competitive Highlights

I moved from a 4 stroke (ttr90) to a 2 stroke bike and switched to a 2 stroke class and began racing. I became more competitive and determined from then on. I raced occassionally and entered my first National race in 2004 and raced my first local track series in 2004.
