I raced Branson this year for the first time. It was great. The track was really rough and rutted. It really helped to show who has been working hard.
I went into my 450 main tied for 1st. There were four guys including myself that could have won the overall with a win in the main. I was 3rd in the main which gave me 3rd overall.

I raced an Loretta's Area Qualifier @ Cooperland last weekend. The had a very good field (around 28 entries in the Pro Classes) of "A" riders including Trey Canard. Trey definitely had his game going on, but I was happy with my speed. I ended up the weekend with a couple of seconds behind Trey, but more importantly, I learned that my speed is not that far off. My hard work in California the last couple of months has really paid off. I am excited to work harder to reach my goals because I know that they can become real. Next I will be racing in Lake Whitney and Oak Hill.

I have been in CA down around Lake Elsinore since the first part of January. Being from the Northwest makes it hard to find places to ride in the winter because of the rain. That is why I migrated south. I will stay down here until the 3rd week in Feb. and then I will go to Texas and prepare for Lake Whitney and Oak Hill. After those two events I will come back to Ca.
I have been racing the CMC Golden States Nationals while I have been in CA. The Golden States have been treating me pretty well. I have been able to win 3 out of my last 4 races. I will miss the final round at Glenn Helen because I will be racing at Cooperland in OK right before Lake Whitney.

Over labor day weekend we raced the Devol Top Gun Team Shootout. With 74 teams from all over the Northwest and nearly 1000 entries, the Motosport Hillsboro team that I was on won the overall championships. My Pro Team Mates were Tiger Lacey, Adam Metzler and Weston Potter. Some of our toughest competition came from Jared Brown, Ryan Abrigo and Kevin Urquhart. Our team was in third place going into Sunday morning with only few points seperating the top three. I knew with good motos on Sunday we had a chance at winning the overall. Lacey and I were in the top three in every moto on Sunday. It felt reall good to win the Championship Trophy for Motosport Hillsboro. They worked really hard for me and give me a ton of support all year long.

I attended my first WORCS race this past weekend. Not having a clue, there are some things that we would do differently. Like getting oversized gas tanks. I had to take pit stops for fuel while my competition did not. Also a steering stabalizer would be nice.
Despite all that, I had a blast. I was able to race with the top runners and the exposure I recieved as a newcomer was fantastic. I did get the attention of the people there. I ended up 2nd in the 250F A and 3rd in the Open A.
I plan on racing the last two rounds.

Loretta`s has come and gone. I worked hard the prior weeks leading up to Loretta`s in anticipation of the heat. Being from Oregon, I really had no way to prepare for the humidity. My first moto out was in the 250B Mod class. I was primed and ready to go. I got a mid-pack start and had worked my way up to 4th. Unfortunately, the heat and humidity started to take its toll on me. Due to severe dizziness and blurred vision, I ended up pulling off the track with two laps to go. I ended up in the Medic Tent w/ ice packs and fans to cool me down. This was my first real experience with heat exhaustion. It seemed that I really never recovered 100% the rest of the week. I ended up going to the medic tent one more time after one of my 125 B/Mod motos. This time they gave me an IV to help speed the recovery.
With that said, I am happy to have a 10th overall in the 125 B/Mod class. Not bad with the likes of Austin Stroupe, Trey Canard, Kyle Cunningham, Sean Borkenhagen and Tye Hames.

As many of you know, I broke my collar bone while racing the amateur days at Hangtown. It was bad timing since we were scheduled to race the Loretta’s Regional Qualifiers the following weekend in Honey Lake. We sat out the Honey Lake race and I wanted to race my qualifier at Glen Helen. With my collar bone still not grown back together, I proved I was up for the trip by riding a 30 minute moto on our track at home and doing a set of push ups. So off to Glen Helen I went.
Here are my results from the 6/11/06 Glen Helen Loretta’s Regional Qualifier:
Ø 250 B Mod. 1st
Ø 4-Stroke Open 2nd
Ø 125B Mod 3rd
In the 125 stock class Saturday morning in the first moto Jared Partridge went down over a jump and I went down with him. I was knocked out for a while and sat out the rest of Saturday’s racing. I came back on Sunday and had a real good showing.
I will race the 125B Mod and 250B Mod classes at Loretta’s.
Wish me luck!

Despite having a massive cold and going to Senior Prom on Saturday night, I had a great day Sunday at Washougal. The track was absolutely perfect. I had really good battles with Kevin Urquhart and Chris Johnson. We had some really good racing between us. You could see the crowds lined around the fence watching our motos. It was great. I ended 1st in the 250 B Mod and 2nd in the 125 B Mod.

The World Minis are here and gone. Although my overall results do not show it, I am pleased with my efforts. I raced the 125 B stock/mod, 250 mod & 450 4 Stroke Non Pro. I went into my mains in the following positions: 125 Stock - 5th, 125 Mod - 4th, 450 4 Stroke - 3rd. Unfortunately in my last qualifier for the 250 Mod class I was involved in a first turn crash. A bike from the crash flew over and took Kevin Urquarhart and I out. I ended up tearing my knee up and have to be hauled off from the track. I iced my knee that evening and kept working it so that it would not get stiff. I had my 125 Mod main Sunday morning. I could hardly put any weight on my leg. I decided to go ahead and run my mains the best I could. My first main proved to be more than I could handle. I was running in 11th on the white flag lap when I went to the inside for a pass and my front end washed out, sending me down on my bad knee. I came off the track in pain. My next moto was in the afternoon. I went back and iced my knee some more. I was going into the 450 4 Stroke class with a 3rd, so I was setting pretty good. I ran my moto and ended up 8th overall. My knee was done so I set out my next main. I had an MRI done yesterday and it turned out to be just a torn muscle. Recovery should be quick.
