life and fear

maybe some of you dont know that with every motocross rider there is fear. maybe its covered up by the gear which makes us look like soldiers in battle, but doesn't every soldier worry about dieing, being injured, or surviving with barely a scratch?. when were riding we are in our own world. nothing matters to the point time stands still. i dont care who you are! if your race motocross, ride freestyle, or simply freeride. when your in your own world and you swap out, hit a corner wrong, jump tha ramp or face wrong, & that slow motion wierd feeling in your stomach hits you, [ you know your gunna go down.] tha slower it is. tha harder youll fall. once you stand up your bravery kicks in and then all of a sudden starts fading away and fear becomes the only option, right after standing up and you start feeling your knees weak and a boost of pain in your body, every things like step by step, you start falling to your knees to your face and see a very slow yellow flag waving turn into a medic flag is one of the scariest things i have ever seen. feeling tha pain, bones crushing, joints hesitating to move, passing out, & waking up in an ambulance or hospital not knowing if youll be okay in the end. brings tears to your heart. hoping you make it out strong and heal up fast in those 6 weeks, 6 months, or 1 year just so you can pull the clutch in and grab the throttle. that may not be the smartest thing to do after being hurt for sso long but were addicted. with every sport comes pain and suffering but with every sport theres the love.

Motocross!!!

Motocross is not the thing we do to be popular, make money, or get guys/girls but, its something we do for the love of being on a dirtbike. Those who have never wokin up at six in the morning to get ready for practice just dont understand. The countless hours and dedication ot this sport is not because we want to be famous but , because we love it.You will never have a bigger addrenaline rush then lining up at the gate with 40 other riders next to you, all wanting the same thing, to win. We all know the risk we are about to take when we ride but, thats what makes the sport so geat. If there weren't any risks any one could be pro. All of us know that we'll probably never be as good as RC or Stewart but, we try anyways. It's not like catching a football or trouwing a ball with a bat, its way more then that. Everytime we go down to the track its like a family. Motocross is not just a sport, its the way of life!!Live To Ride, Ride To Live tomorrow.....and thats jsut how it is!!!!

You might be a motocross racer if...

You might be motocrosser if... If you get back at the neighbors dog barking by revving up the MX bikes at midnight, Push the grocery cart with your elbows up, When you are in alot of pain on your way to the ER but the main question you want answered is "hows my bike?" or "was it a good looking crash?", You can't see out the rear window's of your Truck because of all the MX sticker's!, If you have a dog named moto, If your bed room serves as a garage(extra points if your bedroom IS a garage), If your are playing the N64 Game 1080, and you get the HOLESHOT on the snowboard, Some people only know you by your racing class & number, If you drive around town showing of your brand new Fox helmet, If you had a sandbox in your room to build tracks in, If you wore your gear on Halloween, You put numbers on the riding mower just to entice the kids to ride it, Wash your Alpinestars in the kitchen sink with the anti-bacterial soap
