Well, Cooperland didn't go as planned. During the last lap of the last practice on Saturday, some how my left foot feel between the nerf bar netting and the frame. When my foot hit the ground, my footpeg tried its best to destroy my ankle. I had to get a track worker to put the netting back so I could get my foot out. I thought I broke it but after being numb for a few hours, the pain set in, it didn't turn black and blue like the last time I broke it so through self diagnosis, I determined it was just sprained a little. I couldn't walk on it at all Saturday night or Sunday without having my riding boots on. I went a head and raced Sunday but I couldn't shift worth a flip. Needless to say, my starts were horrible and upshifting out of corners, etc was a challenge and landing some of the jumps was pretty painful. I still managed to get 7th out of 10 overall. I'm confident I would have been top 5 if I would have been 100% but thats all part of the game. I had fun regardless and I am planning on racing at Sundance MX on Saturday, 3/21. The ankle is still a little sore but it's getting better by the day.

I finally got to ride for the first time in months. I'm pretty sore and expect it to get worse but that's the price you pay for fun. I raced but use the word 'raced' loosely due to the lack of competitors. There was one other quad and he was in the beginner class. He left before the second moto but I charged forward none-the-less. This Sunday will be my first big race. Round 2 of the TQRA series at Cooperland in Stillwater, OK. Cooperland is one of the nicest tracks I've ever ridden. It's long and gets rough when 200 or so quads beat the crap out of it. I hope I can hang on for both motos and Saturday practice. Wish me luck, I'll need it.

My bike is almost back together. I have a few more things to put on then it will be ride time. I'm planning on racing on Sunday so long as nothing weird happens. The frame was powder coated gloss black. I polished most of the aluminum stuff. It should look really good once its off the stand and back on the ground. I'll post some pics before I start 'destroying' it again. The weather is supposed to be pretty nice this weekend with mid-60 degree temps and only a slight chance of rain. I'll probably be worn out after the second lap because I haven't ridden in a few months and my crazy schedule almost eliminates any opportunity for working out. I'm confident I'll be back in the swing of things in no time and hopefully running back up front. Wish me luck, Timmy K.

The frame is gussetted and going to the powder coater tomorrow. I'm ready to get her put back together so I can get off my @$$ and ride. I'd like to catch a few of the remaining winter series races before spring rolls around so I can get back up to speed. I've got parts to order and a couple of hours of wrenching once she's back from the powder coater then we'll be ready to churn some dirt!!!

I posted 2 pics under 'Random' both with helmet on. I noticed it a little when I first hit the track. It seemed to push up on the bottom of my helmet a little but I adjusted it and can't even tell its there now. Everybody should where a neck brace. There cheaper than a wheelchair.

After what seemed like forever, I finally got my RC EVO neck brace. I get to test it tomorrow night...well not test (hopefully) but ride with it for the first time. I'll let everyone know my thoughts and try to post some pictures of it in place with full O'Neal riding gear (insert: sponsor plug) on. I hope I don't ever have to fully see its benefits. Ride safe!!!

Thanks to Hurricane Ike the local weather calls for rain, rain, and more rain. I hope it holds off for Saturday so I can race. I'm not trying to be petty. I realize it is much worse in areas along the Gulf Coast. I wouldn't wish that mess on any one.
