swim training week 1

Free Text or HTML

A little about myself, I did my first ironman on a dare, never having been a swimmer i had to teach myself how to swim. i had three goals during that race 1. finish, 2. beat 6 hours and 3. beat the guy who dared me. as for number 1 (done), number 2 (6:25, after having my legs lock up on the bike i posted a 3:20 bike, i will get this one done next year) and number 3 (done), he had a 20 minute head start, and i beat him in every part of the race and when i caught him it was ohh so sweet. We are both firefighter paramedics at our station and now it will be a annual race for us. i am always looking to learn and can thank my family and friends for all the help during training. i learned when you are all alone in the water and on the road knowing they will be there at the end no matter what happens means the most.

You make a good point Ron! Thanks for the positive...i guess whenever i look it's always to the front of the pack and never to what's behind, but i should give props to EVERYONE who made the effort and endured the harsh conditions
