After spending some 4 hours between x-rays and the MRI, i have some tears in my hamstring. This i already knew but they needed proof. The Doctor put me on muscle relaxers and pain pills along with the rest and physical therapy. My season is over all i can do is swim and bike with no hills. Depressing but I know that i will be back for next season. To all that can still race this year , take advantage because i will be in the mix next year. I now get to train my friends and family for their races. Good training and most of all have fun!!!

Well i have not blogged in awhile because we are out at the beach, at my wife's parents house. We flew in three days early to get adjusted to the humidity, got here and put my bike together and the front tire had multiple cuts in it. Thanks to the bike shop that checked it. So we found a bike shop in Niantic to re-glue a new tire for me. Much Thanks to them they did a great job and completed it on time. After all of the crazy family stuff we drove an hour to the house to pick up the tire and another hour to check in for the race. After checking in to the hotel we went to check in for the race 1 and 1/2 hour check in, then an hour drive from the host hotel to the swim and bike stage, and a hour back then a little dinner. Next a shower and shave and set every alarm that we owned and called for the wake up call, it was time to sleep. Wake at four am , i was awake at 2 am for some reason. Drive to the race start get marked and get in my wet suit and start to focus, i felt calm and told my wife i was going to do good on the swim and crush the bike( 3 hours is crushing for me). Mind you i have had the tears in my hamstring while i was training so we were hoping for the best. all in all it was my best times except for my run, 37 swim 3 hour bike and a 2:15 run , First and foremost i would like to thank my wife for all of the driving and work she did, Thanks Hon!! also thanks to all that trained with me and Thank You to all my sponsors, MotorTabs, Rudy Poject, Dedicated Athlete, Bio Nutritional Research Group, Fluid, H2O Audio. Thanks So Much For your Support. and Thanks to Friends and Family for there Cheers!!!

Well i have one week before the Rhode Island 70.3, will finish packing my bike today and a couple of short workouts before i leave on wedsday morning. Suprisingly i feel calm, but i am still a little worried about the lack of training that i have had due to my injury. I think all i can do now id put my head down and dig deep for a decent finish. I still struggle with the pain and just want to take a break for awhile to let my leg heal for next season. the plan is after this race take some time off and get a sprint tri in around October. well i will keep you posted as to my progress and hopefully i will have some strong will and luck on my side. good training.
