Wow, what a weekend, i felt good for the race. i went to the expo on friday and meet Michelle Jones. she is a nice and down to earth athlete, she introduced herself to me and my wife and ofcourse i had to get a photo with her. (thanks). Now to my sponsors i would like to thank them for their help in training, Motortabs, Rudy Project, Fiberwise, PowerCrunch and Dedicated Athlete. The race was fun but grueling, on the swim the current by the jetty was strong and i was all over the place and finished in 42 min, not my best by far, T1 was good with 3:15 now my enemy and downfall the bike , what a day with 3:29, had a crash, lost my h20 bottles and had to fix my bike 3 times because my rim was out of line after the crash. i thought my day was over but i pushed on through windy conditions. t2 was 3:06 and on to the run, the bike took all i had in my legs but i only had 13.1 to go. so i had a 2:09 half. i finished with a 6:19 and was disappointed, until i saw my family, mot everyone ca do what we do so be thankful, my family put it into perspective, so i thank them.

I feel ready , the mind is focused and i believe that i will have no problems physically saturday. knock on wood!!!! doing a light swim today and tomorrow a light run and that is it . but everyone knows the taper as lazy as it feels it does work. well good training too all and if you are racing the california half i may see you there. i got the relay after the pros so it should be a good day.

i feel lazy, i know it is a necessary part of our training, but i feel LAZY!!!. so i did a short run at race pace , the problem is it was so much faster than my normal pace. i do not feel sore, but like the workout ended before i even got started. my first race of the season is less than seven days away and i really look forward to it to see if the strategy is going to pay off. i will do a light swim later today and relax, i just go a little stir crazy. well happy easter and enjoy training.

Wow, i feel great i have 14 days before my california half ironman race. i had a great swim this morning and i am starting my taper for this two week period. i would like to thank all of my sponsors up front before the race, because with your products i have leaned up and dropped 25 lbs. along getting in shape. this race is not for me it is for the operation rebound, my race will be rhode island half, with that the lack of stress had added to my mental game. also this week i did a survey for loopd and there is going to be some new changes coming down the pipe. hopefully they will be good. well good training and good luck gotta take the dogs for a walk.
