wow what a week, yes they have started(two a days) , we all know what they are. the obsession for us to do better. 28 days until race day and i feel so strong, the problem is i don't wanna peak to early but yesterday just put me in the ground. my first hour bike pace was great even with the wind but the second hour showed the pain that my legs were in. so i get to run 12 and swim 2 today. wow what fun.
good luck training. ron

While i was in the cold pool today during my swim workout, i had to do a lot of extra thinking to keep my mind off of how cold the pool was. My thought of the day was this i have the california Ironman coming up in 4 week and a few days, with that i am raising funds for operation rebound. this fund helps wounded vets that would like to get back into sports get the necessary equipment need after losing a limb or some other major injury. so far i have raised 920.00 and would like to raise more so i came up with what if we gave a dollar, my thought was tell everyone that i know and associate myself with to give a dollar to the fund and have them do the same. How much do you think we could raise then, how many people do you know? Think about it, i believe that this is a good cause for american citizens that make the sacrifice for our freedom. thanks and good training.

wow what a week, i was so busy that i could not train for 5 days, that really set me back, so i thought. over the past four days i was trying to make up for the lost days and i worked so hard that i could not run yesterday. my legs were so sore. but i looked at my logs and my times were faster and i was able to reach my goal of 8 miles per hour. today i finally got back in the pool i was not comfortable till about the thousand meter mark. we will be triple swimming in the coming weeks and going into two a days now. well we have about five weeks till the first race and i believe that i am all ready gonna beat my last year time by almost a hour. well good luck and good training.

Gotta leave for houston, on friday and back on sunday. the hardest part is eating on the road. so i bring alot of bars and snacks with me. but then i get tired of them after about a day, especially while my wife is eating a regular meal. also i will wake up early and take runs, with the trip being short, i was wondering if i should use it as a rest period because of the jet lag? hopefully the hotel at least has a treadmill to run on. i extended my brick friday to a 40 bike and 10 run. it felt good but i was beat at the end, i mismanaged my fuel and did not gu a the right times. but hey live and learn for race day.

I do the bricks on Fridays, and man I just love them. I do the Increase on the distance every week by five miles on the bike and a mile on the run and now i am at 40 and 10. that is almost the whole distance for my 70.3 coming up in march. last year i was so far behind these distances but now i feel great at 185lbs. i guess the goal will be 175 before march, develop a good pace in the march race and really push it for my july race in rhode island. well good training, gotta hit the pool now.
