God, i love running, especially when you are getting faster. It just feels so good when you check your times from a month ago and your moving in leaps and bounds. Any way ran 7 and a 1/2 miles yesterday and i was hardly tired afterwards, will swim this afternoon and the best part is i have not been eating like crazy from the holidays. i have been very picky about how much i eat lately. i have dropped 12 pounds this month which puts me down to my previous years race weight. i hope to be in the 170's this year for race day. well that is it for today.

Wow it was a nice day in san diego today, got to start my first brick at 9:40 this morning, and i added some speed work into the brick. i was amazed at the pace that i kept and the base work is working to a t!. i basically did 20 mile sprint work on the bike then a 5 mile run, the only thing that i added was some no-explode this am. has anybody used this stuff before? my roommate gave it to me this morning before i left and said it would help. well it did but by the time i was done with my bike i thought i was going to throw up. i really pushed it hard on the bike so i thought i would take it easy on the run......not...... i set my fastest pace to date. with a 36 min 5 mile run. well if anybody has input about this no-explode please let me know your thoughts. Merry Christmas to all!!!

wow i love the pool at the gym when there is no one there, it was like having your own private pool. i have to goto 24 hour fitness to swim and any one that goes there can attest that swimming in the three lane pool is like dodge ball. the people just stand in the lanes like it is lounge time for them. i always try to be nice but people continue to stand there. well that is it for now .

sorry i have not posted lately. i have been working alot for christmas and just doing alot of base work, recently added my firs brick workout in two weeks. also my speed on my daily runs have increased. i know only one speed workout a week, but they are so much fun. swimming is picking up at 3 times a week at 2000 meters and on the bikes i am getting a little more comfortable with hill climbs, but i still need more speed on the hills. like i said earlier runs are getting faster, about 7.4 miles in an hour. well that is it for now, have a safe holiday and happy training.
