Ever have on of those great workouts, just when it seemed like you were not going to even make the workout? Well i do my bricks on fridays so that i can rest the next day, so i got to fiesta island and i was late. so i feel rushed, lap 2 of the island and i feel a flat, so i fix it. at lap four it was so windy that the seagulls were fighting just to keep pace with me. as i am finishing the bike wit 2 laps to go a hand cyclist is in front of me, so i kindly pass him and keep going. i finish my bike, get to my truck and put my shoes on to do my run. he passes me, so i pick up my pace on the run, lap 2 of the run i see him again and pickup my pace. i look at my watch after lap 2 i had one of my fastest run times for nine miles. Afterwards i drive home and get onto the california iron man site and see the Challanged Athlete Foundation article and sign up to raise money. check it out, see what you can do because it might mean alot for that one person that inspired you while you were on your workout by yourself.

Well i just had a bad swim, it seemed like i just could not get a good rhythm. even if i went slow and concentrated on my stroke it seemed like i was sucking water the whole time. i normally swim three times a week and have no problems but today was the worst. but hey i am still alive so i guess i can count it as experience. hopefully it was just today and that is it.

First of all i am not one to use powders , but this stuff really works. i used it once on my brick workout and i felt unbelievable , my lactic thresh hold seemed higher. so needless to say i thought it was all mental. so i did my brick this week again and shaved 3min off of my five mile run, i was floored. i have to say it works for me. training is coming along fine, gotta swim tonight and i got my confirmation for the rhode island half ironman, so that will be two for this year. good training
