Hi, I'm Alley, and I'm 14 years old. I live to race motocross, 2009 was my 8th year of racing. The 2009 season was a great season for me. I won the Spring Series points in WNYMA for the Schoolgirl class. I didn't get to race much during the Summer Series due to being a little tight on money. On October 25, 2009, I became the winner of the Fall Series points in WNYMA for the Schoolgirl class, and the Overall Points Champion of the Schoolgirl class. The 2009 season has been a very productive year for me, and I am looking forward to running the Senior Mini and Womens classes full time in the 2010 season.

Q&A - Competition

How did you get started?

I went to Maple Shade MX in 2002, and I loved it. That was when I decided I wanted a dirt-bike. My dad used to race, too, and I was fascinated by his trophies. :D

List your competitive highlights:

I placed 6th in points in 2003, 2nd in points in 2004, 6th in points in 2005, 7th in points in 2006, 2nd in points in 2008. Won the Silver Cup Race at Maple Shade in 2004. Won 2 big trophies at Maple Shade in 2009. Had the time of my life racing!

What are you planning for next season?

I am planning to ride even harder than this year, win the points series in the Western New York Motocross Association, and I am hoping to gain some sponsors for the 2009 season.

What has been your biggest accomplishment?

My biggest accomplishment was when I won 2 big trophies at Maple Shade MX in 2009. I won both the Girls class and the Womens class. The trophies are bigger than me! :)

Q&A - Personal

What inspires you to compete?

The love of motocross is what inspires me to compete. It's what I love doing, and what I'll always love doing. It's my passion, and has been since I was 6.

What has been your most embarrassing moment?

My most embarrassing moment was probably when I fell in the mud after I won the first race of the season in 2008. It was right after the finish jump at Freedom MX, and it kind of looked like a victory fall. Haha.

Music?

Music helps me get mentally prepared for a race. Most of the time I listen to something I can dance or sing to. A lot of the time it's 80's music - AC/DC, Kiss, Poison, Def Leppard. Other times it's newer stuff - Nickelback, Linkin Park, Saliva. Most of the time it just depends on what kind of mood I'm in.

Why do you compete?

I compete because I enjoy it. Motocross is my favorite sport, and I love it. I love meeting new people and creating new friendships. I compete to have fun and to have a good time, while learning to have good sportsmanship, too.
