What inspires you to compete?
I have always been very competitive, and when I got a 65, I knew right away that I wanted to race. I love motocross, and seeing boys after I beat them in a race keeps me even more motivated. Every time I get beaten, it motivates me to go home and work even harder so I can win the next race. Watching pro women beating all the guys also inspires me to train and work so I can be in that position some day.
Why do you like this sport?
I love the adrenaline rush I get every time I ride. I like having something to work for, and every time I race I am even more motivated to go home and work harder to come out faster and stronger for the next race. Motocross has been a part of me ever since the first time I rode, and I don’t think there will ever be a time when I don't love it.
Some Personal Information About Me:
My dad bought me a PW 50 when I was five, and I started riding that day. I rode around a lot but I never raced. I then bought a XR 70, but soon, that wasn’t fast enough. I got a KTM 65, and I loved it. That was when I decided I wanted to race. My first race was at Log Road in the 65 beginner class, where I took 6th. I have been racing ever since and love it. I will race my RM85L in the Women’s Jr., Supermini, and Women's Sr. classes this year, and hope to qualify for Loretta Lynn’s.
Do you train? What does your schedule look like?
I train 6 days a week for 1.5-2 hours. During the season, I ride every day at my track, and race most weekends. In the winter, I ride indoors at McCulloch's Pro-MX and Pro Source at least once a week. I also try to eat healthy all the time.
