What inspires you to compete?
I just love this sport! It is a great time when your entire family and lotsn of great friends hang out all weekend.
Some Personal Information About Me:
I am a new racer but have been riding since I was 3. My Dad and I always used to ride every weekend with our buddies Josh and Alicia we would ride in some of the muddiest places known in our town. Unfortunately, my Dad and I had a terrible wreck on his friends quad when the tie rod end broke in the knuckle. My Dad had enough time to throw me from the quad and didn't have time to save himself. So he broke his left hand and trashed his right wrist and lacerated his spleen. So needless to say my Dad lost most of the use of his right hand and doesn't ride as much. So a year later I begged my Mom to race and here I am. Racing is in my blood. The wreck taught me that the quads should always be respected and it has helped me to become a great rider.
My Mom just prays before each race that I cross the finish line with all bones intact.
Oh, by the way I also play tackle football, wrestle in the winter and play baseball in the summer and my Dad is a great coach in all my sports.
Do you train? What does your schedule look like?
I practice in my WV backyard which is usually more difficult than most harescrambles I race. I love the technical parts. Straight stretches in races are for Nascar Drivers. Most days during the summer I ride from daylight until dark or until my Dad makes me take a break.
How's Life Treating You?
Great! I am a second grader at Kanawha Elementary and I have friends in my class that race with me. I also have a sister up for rent or sale. Beware she is a screamer.
What do you want to be when you grow up?
I want to be a pro rider!! I recently got to meet Bill Balance; I think I would like to follow in his footsteps.
