Q&A - Personal
Some Personal Information About Me:
A little info about me. I just turned 22 years old. I am originally from Nashua, NH. I graduated High School in 2006 from Concord High. I have been mountain biking for 13 years. By the end of 2009 I will be a police officer. I like to meet new people. I am a very fun person to be around and like having a good time.
Do you train? What does your schedule look like?
Training is a huge part of mountain biking, so I do some sort of training every day. I go out and mountain bike 10 miles 5 days a week. I run 3 miles 3 days a week. And I try to work in some time and go to the gym 3 days a week. The day before a race is the only day where I do not do any training.
Why do you compete?
I compete to help build my skills even more. Competing puts your against people who are doing all they can to beat you, and it takes all your training and practicing to show them that you are better by coming out ahead at the finish.
Why do you like this sport?
I like this sport beacuse it has such a wide range of things to do. I can get on my mountain bike and hit the local stunt spot, and play around on the jumps, teeter-totters, and anything else i want to hit. Or I can just head out to the trails and tear up some single track. Occasionally when injuries occur and I need to take it easy there are plenty of sled trails to ride on that don't strain your body.
Music?
Music is definatly one of my favorite things. I listen to all different types of music depending on what I am doing and what type of mood I am in. When I go out and ride I always use my IPOD. My mountain biking mix has artists such as; Anberlin, As I lay Dying, Disturbed, Drowning Pool, Adema, Nonpoint, and Eve 6 to name a few.
