I just received my GoPro Surf Hero camera, and i'm really excited to use it in the water. I'm very satisfied with the quality and ease of use. It's definitely the easiest way to get action pictures if you don't have a photographer. Now that I finally have a camera, i can get some killer pics!!!

Thank you to all who read my blogs and have a great day!

I just got a new 6'0 Jimmy Lewis epoxy board. I'm hoping to use it tomorrow, if not for sure on sunday. Jimmy Lewis makes amazing boards, both long and short. I encourage all to get one. If you're on maui go buy one at Neil Pryde Maui. If you're not go check out www.jimmylewis.com and see what you can do. These boards are awesome. Check out the website at www.jimmylewis.com or check out the boards in person at Neil Pryde Maui.

My newest sponsor, SPY Optics, are absolutely amazing. They have the nicest gear i've ever had the privilege of wearing. Their glasses are amazing. Their apparel is amazing. I can tell we're at the brink of a SPY fire at our school. I hooked up some of my friends with stickers, and they hooked up their friends with stickers, and now SPY is taking over. Everybody loves the brand, and i'm seeing the stickers all over the place. We stuck one on our history teachers podium. We got em on binders, hats, and everywhere. I'm stoked to be part of the spy team, and YOU reading this needs to go see their stuff at: www.spyoptic.com . GO NOW!

I have officially tried shortboarding and it's reeeeeeeeeellly fun. I pretty much suck at it, but the waves sucked that day too. And i still need many tips. Please leave them in a comment.

On sunday(tomorrow) i'm gonna shortboard for my first time ever. I wanna get some experience on a shortboard, even if i can't perfect it. Anybody got tips for me? Please leave them in my comments and i'll throw ya back 5*.

I just joined surf club at school. I only went to one meeting and there's lots of stuff that has to be done before we start having our contests and stuff. But i'm excited because this will hopefully give me some contest experience, before i start seriously competing next year. It's kind of intimidating because there's a lot of really good kids at our school. Kai Bargar came out of King K. Albee Layer, Shaun and DK Walsh (Ian Walsh's brothers), and lots of really good kids are there. Hopefully i can learn from them. That's what i've been up to, and peace out

H20 audio looks sooooo sick. I'm really hoping i can get sponsored by them. Now that i'm training and stuff, i surf by myself more and more. Having music to ride too would be SOOOO SICK. I know i would help them sell product here in the islands, so i really hope they can hook me up with a sponsorship deal. Everybody i know would be rushing out to get one. H20 Audio-check them out here: http://h2orider.loopd.com/Members/h2oaudio/Default.aspx

So not this weekend but the weekend before, i cruised downtown with some friends. We surfed sandpiles on saturday, and it was a pretty big day. I was paddling for like 35 minutes and i didn't even make it out to the lineup. I was sick of getting pounded, so i let 1 whitewash push me ALL the way back to shore. I just sat on the beach thinking: "What the hell is this? It's impossible..." Then i was ready to try again and i started paddling and i got stung by like the biggest manowar in history. If you go to my loopd page you can see how it looked after getting better. Then they came in, and we went to paia bay. That is one of the funnest waves i've ever surfed it was nuts. After surfing the surfers waves me and my friend were surfing the right offshore waves. I took a BIG right, it closed out with me being RIGHT in front of it, and i got pounded hard. Cheyne caught some small barrels going left. And i had lots of fun there. I slept over at downtown to go dawn patrol sandpiles, which was supposed to be NUTS HUGE, on sunday morning. We wake up and go outside and you can literally hear the waves crashing from their house. I was about to crap myself. We drive down to sandpiles and it's not huge at all. This was like a 3-5+ foot face. So we drive to big lefts which is too crowded, and return to sandpiles. Seriously sandpiles with no wind early in the morning is like a different beach. It was the most beautiful i've ever seen a beach. That day i pulled my first hang five and hang ten. No helicopters though.

Today was a beautiful day at ho'okipa. There was a contest all the way out in hana so it was less crowded. Perfect for me to adjust to my new board on. It's so nice to switch to a more powerful wave. The south shore had little to no power. Changing to a beach with some push is awesome. Anyway an awesome overall day. Let's hope for some picture updates around november, when i'm hoping to get my GoPro Camera.

I'm super excited that GoPro cameras is going to release a surf version of their amazing camera. I am desperately in need of a camera. All my shots are coming off my cell phone. Once i get it, i can take automatic pics and vids of me surfing w/o someone else. Then i can get more pics up here!! It's mountable, it's waterproof, it's freaking awesome. I'm getting one of those AS SOON AS IT"S OUT!! A lot of work and testing goes into gopro cameras.

You can learn more about them at: goprocamera.com

They got sick stuff for every and any action sport. Be a hero
