Overview

How I got started

I started racing on a Polini in the 50 Enthusiast Class in 1999. Though awards were only given for participation, I did take a 1 - 1 at Cheyenne during my last race on the 50. I moved up to a KX 60 in 2000 and raced 7 - 11 60 Novice class with finishes of 12th and 14th. I moved to a YZ 80 in 2001 and raced the 80 Beginner class in 2002, finishing 7th at the State Championships. In 2003 I moved up to the 7 - 11 85 Novice class and finished 11th overall with several top 5 finishes. For 2004 my results have been 2-1-2-1 for the first four events of the season. In April 2004, I suffered a broken foot which kept me from attending Ponca. My cast was removed in July 2004 and I have begun racing again, with 2nd and 1st place (overall) finishes in my first two races in the 85 7 - 11 class.

A growth spurt during the the summer of 2004 (I grew 4 inches and gained 25 pounds) forced an early transition to the 125 class. I have been riding the big bike several months and compete regularly.

Goals for the Future

My goals for the 2006 season are as follows:

- Continue to improve confidence, skill and results on the 250F
- Podium finishes for all 125C races attended
- Attend large regional events in central US (e.g. NMA Fall Championships, Pro Circuit series, etc.)
- Prepare for Ponca City 2006
