Some Personal Information About Me:
I realize that companies work hard to make their products the best possible. That is why it is important that they have excellent spokespersons for their goods. Companies helping me out with my 2008 racing program will receive outstanding product placement on me, my motorcycle and in my pits. But that is just the beginning. I reach a wide audience at the tracks where I race and practice with my open pit atmosphere and easygoing personality. It is common for racers and spectators, in varying classes, to stop by my pits to talk about the track, the day`s racing, what gear I`m hitting the big double in and other goings on in our sport. These interactions serve as fantastic opportunities for me to talk with people about the products I`m using to keep me competitive. In addition, I take great pride in maintaining my motorcycle and equipment in superb condition. I do all of my own maintenance and feel comfortable taking any part of the motorcycle apart - and putting it back together again. Every time I go to the line, my bike and gear are pressure washed clean and in good order. I believe that the discipline in maintaining the motorcycle and equipment at a superlative level projects a professional image and draws more people to my pits. I also like to introduce myself to the track announcer at each event. Doing so allows me to ensure that the announcer knows how to pronounce my name, where my hometown is and most importantly, has a list of my sponsors. I have found that reaching out to make that personal connection with the announcer results in my name and that of my sponsors being called out more often than many of my competitors. I think the personal exchange with the announcer remains with them and allows them to talk about somebody they know instead of simply a name from a signup roster. I would appreciate your support for the 2008 season. Supplying me with a modest amount of your product or at least a discount will go a long way in helping me achieve my goals for the 2008 racing season. I look forward to developing a long term, mutually beneficial relationship.
Do you train? What does your schedule look like?
I am fortunate enough to live fairly close to a great track on which to practice regularly. I try to ride at least once during the week and race on the weekends. I lift weights once to twice a week during the season. I also enjoy running and swimming and do one or the other three or four days weekly - I also compete in running races during the off-season.
My typical week during the season is as follows:
Sunday - Race! or ride at the practice track
Monday - Update sponsors, order parts, bike work and rest
Tuesday - Heavy running/swimming and weight lifting
Wednesday - Ride at the practice track or heavy running/swimming
Thursday - Heavy running/swimming
Friday - Bike work, medium running/swimming
Saturday - Finish bike work, prepare for race or ride if no race on Sunday
