Good am: All Sponsor's--- It can't hurt to ask....
First off, I'm a Novice Vet Rider ). I just got back into MX in 2005- just
had a little break of 25 years off. My bike is a RMZ 450- basicly stock. It would be awesome if a SPONSOR(S) would accept this resume/ support request. Well I joined the OTHG ( over the hill gang )- Sierra Chapter here in the central valley of California back in Janurary of 2006. I raced a hand-full of races in 2006 and 2007 in the 38+ Beginner class. Our gates are the fullest- usually between 12-25 riders at every event. I moved up to the +38 Novice class in 2008--- hmmm same size of gates! My goal for 2008 is to race 10-15 races, and to move up to the +45 Intermediate class by the by the summer of 2009.
I feel the one area I lack ( other then track time ), is rider support/ specifically all related expenses; ie: suspension/ wear-tear items ( like graphics ), etc.. for me as a Novice vet racer (not my "day- job ").
I know you ( as a sponsor ) and myself would be a great team together. I would be a great rolling
( slow for now ).......
jumping advertisement for your company- at races/ ride days / local tracks / club meetings.
Especially with some awesome tracks soon to open/ reopen in our area; ie:
http://www.california-motocross.com/ I also feel there is a place in our club for you as Sponsor/ supporter- since most of us are not the ideal set up for a stock bike- here's a link to our club's web site:
http://www.sierraothg.com/index.php So in closing it would be GREAT if you accepted this resume for some rider support, because I plan on not letting go of MX this time around. And to infect my kids with the MX- BUG as soon as I can, so I plan on racing/ riding as long as I can. Thanks again for your consideration, and my plan was to keep my request short/ to the point.
*** Revised as of 8/1/07.... raced 6 races and 1 National this year--- 2007

***** 9/25/08: I've raced 13 races this year so far, attended 3 Nationals ( Oatfield, Tulare, and Hollister ), I also joined the Central Valley Chapter OTHG-- just to get some more track time in. I will be moving up to the +45 Nov class in 2009 and I plan on collecting some " Hardware " along the way !!
******** 2/6/09: Our new season starts in 2 days--- Carnegie '09, but it's raining. As a club we voted in AMB Transponders; instant results, lap times at all E-Street / AMP Events
9/9/09: Done a hand-full of races this year and 2 Nationals. I've had some major bike issues.... transmission went out right before my home National at Hangtown.... borrowed another bike.. more issues... lost a header during a moto. Got bored during the down time (bike being fixed), crashed on my MTB and hurt my shoulder.. just had an MRI yesterday.... I guess I'll know real soon what's wrong w/ my shoulder.. I've done some riding, 2 races and the Bay National at Hollister this last weekend... but I have limited mobility/ strength.. but I still want to ride/race.. going to PT weekly.
> Thanks for 2008/9: Yoshimura, DeCal Works, Works Connection, Progrip, SIXSIXONE, Twin Air, Amsoil, Hotcams, Scott from Millerman Racing and especially.. my lovely wife Kamilla !
Thanks,
Michael Lucero
