Overview

How I got started

A friend invited me to go watch him race a couple of times and the second time I went he brought me a bike and some race gear and asked me if I wanted to try it. I went out on the track to try it out and ended up getting my NBL license that day and racing. I started as a 14 Rookie and got second place my first race. In three weeks, I ended up at my first NBL National (the Spring National) in Morristown, TN. I made my mains the first day. I had moved up to 14 Girls that day and I will never forget racing Madison Pitts in the pre-race. Thanks Maddy for taking it easy on me and giving me all those great pointers!

Goals for the Future

I want an even higher national ranking and I want to hold on to my first in the region. I want to go to the Worlds . I am absolutely going to try for the Olympics in 2012.

Bio

What inspires you to compete?

My goals, my parents, my team, my BMX friends, my team managers, my sponsors, and I love the sport.

What has been your most embarrassing moment?

Wrecking twice in a race. Going over the berm at Woodward on the first day of camp and tearing my leg up all the way down. Sitting on the gate in my final semis at the NBL Grands crying, then holding 4th all the way around the track and getting beat at the finish line. Looping out in front of everyone at the President`s Cup.

Do you train? What does your schedule look like?

I do sprints almost everyday and I have just started riding a road bike regularly. I lift weights and I try to practice at my local track - weather permitting. I also go to the gym every week, at least twice a week.

Music?

I like rock primarily. Some of my favorite bands include: Nickelback, Hinder, Hoobastank, Chevelle, Staind, Hawthorne Heights, Three Doors Down, Nickleback, Disturbed, Bowling For Soup, Warrant, Ozzie, Metallica, Lincoln Park, Fall Out Boy, Papa Roach, Green Day....ect. My Mom is taking me to the Nickleback, Hoobastank, Chevelle, Hinder concert after the Grands. It will be my first concert and I am VERY EXCITED about the Grands and the concert.

Schools Attended
