Q&A - Personal

Some Personal Information About Me:

We are a Nationally\World Ranked father and son team. I am 46 and my son Merrett is 12. We are competing in several wakeboard competitions every year now. Our family is a water family of wakeboarding and surfing. I am happily married for 20 years and also have a 7 year old daughter who also wakeboards.

Why do you like this sport?

This is a family sport which is kid captive. Both my son and I are extemely outgoing which we can put our own style into wakeboarding unlike other land sports.

How's Life Treating You?

We are blessed as a family and are very much into family time together wakeboarding and surfing. Life is good! WORK HARDER, PLAY HARDER.

What inspires you to compete?

My son Merrett inspired us to compete in wakeboarding. I used to be a competitive waterskiier in the mid 70s. Entering into competitions this year and doing great our first year is wonderful. Our winning is the icing on the cake. Not many 46 year old fathers can wakeboard and compete with their son in the same tournaments. I am in VETERANS and Merrett is in BEGINNER BOYS.

Employment / Experience Summary

I own a large commercial real estate firm in South Florida. I founded a bank in 2000 which was sold in 2007. I have been a recipient of many awards from Best Connected, Power Broker South Florida Business Leader, and many more. Merrett is a well rounded 6th grader who loves to sell and compete. He is a great boy!
