How I got started
I started mountain biking about 5 years ago. I rode mainly by myself on the local trails in the Boston area. At first, it was a means to burn off some steam after a long days work but as time moved on it grew into much more. I found myself pushing my physical limits to complete certain trails or distances in certain times. In parallel, I started meeting new local riders and began to freeride and bicycle repair. My first real downhill experience was at Sunday River, Maine. Sunday River was a great place to learn. Tight technical sections, steep rocks and roots . That experience and the people I met hooked me downhill mountain biking and racing.
Goals for the Future
My current goal for the 2008 season is to continue improve my overall downhill racing times and have fun. I also plan to continue physical competitive conditioning, manage not to kill myself and meet new riders.
I also plan on traveling to events outside the New England area. I hope to make a small tour to new events during the year. I really enjoy the challenge of a new course and meeting new people.
