Q&A - Competition

How did you get started?

I started riding and competitng at 8. I started at my local hill doing USASA comps and then moved to lving away from home with host families during the winters to train and compete. I went to Mount Snow Academy in Vermont at 15 and Vail the last 2 years.

List your competitive highlights:

Traveling around the country to compete and meeting so many great people. My highlight was competing in Italy and finishing top 10 in the Jr Worlds comp.

What are you planning for next season?

Live away from home in the winter and finish my senior year online. Train and compete with the Vail snowboard team again. Travel and compete in Whistler and New Zealand this summer.

What has been your biggest accomplishment?

Making the finals of all the Rev Tours and coming back from injury last year ( one titanium plate and 9 bolts!). Currently my arm is broken in 3 places - which I did in practice last week at the Mt Hood Revolution tour. It will put me out a few weeks ( hopefully ) and then I'll be back!
