Overview

How I got started

I started racing at the age of 12 on a 94 KX 80. In my first race I finished second to last and crashed twice. The next two seasons were spent riding and learning the basics. In 2001 I qualified for the Ponca City Nationals in the 80 Sr. class. I went into the nationals under-trained and inexperienced, but was expecting to do well. Unfortunately a nasty practice crash ended my national glory that year. Since then I have progressed tremendously riding a YZ250F in the 125 Novice class for two years. In 2004 I moved up to the 125 Intermediate class and have gained tons of speed and experience. The end of 2004 did not go as planned when a nasty arenacross crash left me with a broken arm and ended my plans of competing in the Branson national. In 2005 I could not get rid of the head games and got bad starts at every state race I entered and was forced to make my way from the back of the pack. In June of 2005 I went to Henryville Indiana for a FCA motocross camp, were I learned a tremendous amount of ways to better myself at motocross, and in training. In 2007 I finished 3rd in the 125 B class in the Oklahoma State Series, and have made the move to the A class for 2008

Bio

What inspires you to compete?

I would have to say my Dad inspired me the most. Since I can remember my dad has told me stories of racing and having fun with his friends at the track, and I had just always wanted to start racing.

Some Personal Information About Me:

On the track I love to jump big triples, and be the first person to rail through a perfectly groomed corner. I love to race arenacross. My very first practice track was very tight so I have always been good at racing on tight arenacross tracks. Off the track I am a sophmore at Northeastern state university in Tahlequah Oklahoma. I enjoy running and riding my pitbike. I am a member of my local church youth group.

Do you train? What does your schedule look like?

This year the the training has stepped up in a HUGE way.  The race team has hired a personal trainer!  We have a awsome workout routine that we do three days a week, and then ride two twenty minute motos afterwards.  Also  me and two other guys on my race team have bought Specialized road bicycles that we try to ride at least 25 miles every tuesday and thursday.  I will be in the best shape of my life come the Branson National!

My Favorate bands include but are not limited to; Underoath, Blindside, Norma Jean, Metallica,Taproot, Dead Poetic, and Atreyu.
