How I got started

I learned to fish as a young child when my father took me to farm ponds and the banks of the Fouche River. I spent many hours of my childhood fishing and boating. About eleven years ago a friend introduced me to tournament fishing, and I was hooked. I have spent the last ten years fishing local club tournaments and other small tournaments throughout the state and region. I also fished a few of the national tournaments. During the 2006 -2008 seasons I competed against the top female anglers from around the world on the Women`s Bassmaster Tour. 

Goals for the Future

1. Establish a long-term relationship with a reputable company and promote their concern through education, demonstration, and faithful use of their products or service, and grant more exposure for the company I represent.

2. Win Angler of the Year on the Women's Bassmaster Tour.

What inspires you to compete?

I compete for the thrill of the catch. I also enjoy the firendships I have made along the way.

Describe your style...

I am honest, friendly, and hard working. My fishing style is usually dependent upon what the fish really want. I enjoy power fishing, but can adapt to the ever changing conditions.

Music?

I listen to a variety of music while traveling to and from tournament locations. Everything from Blues, to Jazz, to Contemporary Christian, to Classic Rock. I also play drums some.

Schools Attended

Graduated Arkansas Tech University with a BS in Park Administration. Attended one year at University of Central Arkansas. Graduated Bigelow High School.

Employment / Experience Summary

I currently work for the U.S. Geoligical Survey and have for the past 15 years. I visit rivers, creeks, and streams measuring streamflow, process data collected, and help in the publication process of the data collected. As a professional angler, I have worked with small companies promoting their products, and driving new customers to do business with them. I have gained media exposure for those companies.

• Finished 9th place in the Women's Bassmaster Tour tournament on Lake Maumelle in June 2009.

• Finished the 2007 season on the Women's Bassmaster Tour in 37th place.

• Finished 24th on the Red River in September of 2007 in the Women's Bassmaster Tour Tournament.

• Finished 24th on Lake Dardanelle in March of 2007 in the Women's Bassmaster Tour Tournament.

• Competed on the Women`s Bassmaster Tour in 2006- 2008.

• Media exposure and public appearances several times throughout the 2006-2008 season.

• Finished second in local club angler of the year points in 2005, 2006, and 2007.

• Many first place finishes in local tournaments.
