A Little About Me.My name is Lydia Greiner. I am sixteen years old and a junior at Citrus High School. I started racing motocross when I was 11, almost 12 years old in May of 2003 at Dade City motocross. Now I am addicted to the sport and there is nothing I would rather do.
I am also a very serious student in school and am maintaining a 4.0+ G.P.A. Q&A - Personal
What inspires you to compete?
I'm inspired to compete by the support of those around me, the opportunities to always improve that exist in this sport, and because I simply love motocross racing. There is always something that you can improve on and to challenge yourself with: motocross is amazing and unlike anything I've ever had the privalage to participate in and I am very greatful to even be able to compete in it, so evertime I ride, I give it my all.
Do you train? What does your schedule look like?
Yes, I train everyday, I'm still in public school so my schedule has to fit in time for homework and school however, I generally practice three days durring the school week and race or ride both weekend days. In addition to being on the bike as much as possible, I also keep up with cardiovascular training by riding my bicycle, stationary bike, and swimming, as well as my muscular strength by lifting some weights. I try to keep as active as possible with my schedule.
Some Personal Information About Me:
My name is Lydia Greiner and I am sixteen years old. I love racing motocross and it is a huge aspect of my life. I would not trade racing motocross for the world, i'm addicted.
I am also a very serious student in school: I am maintaining a 4.1 G.P.A. and taking A.P. and Honors classes.
My family is very important to me and I am an only child. My parents and I are very close and without them and their support I could not the person I am today.
What do you want to be when you grow up?
When I grow up, I want to be a professional motocross racer, the best in the world, and I am working very hard to make that dream a reality.
I would also like to further my education and become a research meteorologist as well as get a private pilots liscence.
Music?
Music is a huge and very inspirational aspect of my life. Before I raced motocross I played piano for five years, and occasionally I still do, however I gave up piano lessons to continue with my motocross. I love music and listen to it everyday whenever I get the chance. My parents are very into music as well and we share and listen to it together. Generally I listen to rock and alternative rock, however occasionally i'll listen to jazz, classical, rap, reggae, techno, metal, and on a very rare occasion: country. I see music as a form of expression and if I can see and relate to a message in the music, i'm hooked. As long as the music has meaning, i'm interested. Currently my favorite bands are Strung Out and Sum 41.

Hi Lydia, I like watching you race against the boys. I've seen you at the Winter Ams, Florida Series, and maybe I will see you at the Gold Cup. I like racing against the boys too, I am not very fast just yet. I hope that I ride as good as you when I get older. Good luck and see you around the state.
