Overview

How I got started

Got into the FR/DH scene, as a natural progression when all the XC trails became too easy and was still looking for a challenge. Not to mention the downhill portion has always been way more fun than pedaling up, not that there is anything wrong with it. On the racing side, DH is all fun and you don`t have to put in the monster training hours to be competitive like the XC world.

Goals for the Future

1. The National Championships at Mammoth
2. CA State Championships at Fontana
3. Having fun

Bio

What inspires you to compete?

The feeling you get coming down the course and just after you finish. Such a high!

Describe your style...

A technical rider, who can hit the bigger stuff, (could be a little more styly.) and relies on fitness to put the pedal power down.

Do you train? What does your schedule look like?

Yes, try to hit the gym twice a week. Ride DH/FR once a week, the road bike once a week, and do sprinting and skills work once a week.

Why do you compete?

The Challenge and the Reward. It also gives purpose and motivation to my workouts, to keep me in shape. Oh and it is fun as heck.

How's Life Treating You?

It almost couldn`t be any better within reason.

Competitive Highlights

2005 First child, Jack born and job change - no races

2003 Out with Ski injury (but turned me onto DH.)
