I'm BAAACK Lots of changes...
Not sure if everybody knows but I stopped racing last year in June after my granddaddy had a bad stroke. So instead or racing I was going to see him at the hospital and nursing home.
This past weekend was my first race in 12 months. Since my ABA membership was up and they built a NBL track that is much closer to our house (Hendersonville BMX) my mom and pop took me there.
I did ok... I guess. I entered two races... and got outrun by a Rookie in the first race then lost my chain in the second race. But I placed 2nd overall in both races. The NBL gate cadence is much longer than the ABA cadence. I need some practice on that gate. I hit the gate the first time I tried it and then I just got out late the rest of the time.
I'm looking forward to going back anf practicing gates and racing again.
