Racing

When I was six years old I was asked by my step-dad if I wanted to race, I said no at the time. After watching my sisters race for one season I started to love the sport, so I started racing the next season when I was seven years old. I started out on a stock Honda TRX 90 and raced that for for three years. Then I wanted something bigger, a blaster. Whenever my family and I went down to the dunes we would bring our Honda 300 EX, so my mom decided to teach me how to use a clutch. I got the hang of it pretty fast. The next race season I started practicing on the blaster and still racing on the Honda 90. I didn't like my Honda 90 anymore so I completly moved up to the Yamaha blaster for the next season. I raced my blaster for three years and improved alot from the time I started. I just got tired of being to tall for it so I once again started practicing on a bigger quad. A Suzuki LTR-450. I figured that I was able to ride the 450 with control, so I practiced on it in Spokane, Washington and didn't want to ride my blaster at all. I am riding the Womens B class and the Production C class in the North West Quad Nationals on the 450. I am currently in 1st place in Womens B and I just started racing the Production C. Improving on any track, at anytime, just practicing, and working out is somethings I can do to help build stamana and get better and faster.

I'm Me

I'm Alexis Mckibben, I'm thirteen years old. I am in eighth grade at Eatonville Middle School. I play fastpitch, soccer, and volleyball as school sports.

What inspires you to compete?

What inspires me to race is that it`s not all about winning it`s about having fun and doing the best I can. And the boys saying that girls can't race.
