I am currently 16 years old and I’m a Junior at Ocean City High School here in New Jersey. It’s a cool place to live, It’s only few minutes to the beach to surf and hangout plus we’ve got some really good riding areas and I have access to a few great private practice tracks.
I started riding at 9 years old when my parents got me an XR-80. While I was never really into the stick and ball team sports, I knew right away I wanted to race Motocross. In 2004, I started racing on an RM-85. I finished 2cnd in the points at Mount Pleasant Motocross my first year, and I also got 2cnd at the Tri-County Sportsman ECEA Hare Scramble. I was hooked.
Thanksgiving Day 2004, I was injured pretty badly. I was woods riding with my Dad. I had to be carried out from about a half mile in the woods and then I was life-flighted to Cooper Hospital in Camden. I had severely broken my left femur, shattered my left patella (knee cap), and had some head trauma. I spent the next 2 weeks in the Hospital and the next 6 months recovering. Although it scared my Mom to death, I never considered giving up racing... However, she doesn’t let us ride on Thanksgiving anymore!
In 2006 I made the move up to the big bikes. I was a lot more comfortable on the full size bikes and I currently race a YZ125 and an RMZ250. My plans for this winter are to continue to concentrate on my education and to train and ride as much as possible to prepare for next year.
