when i entered glen helen race way, i thought it was going to be another 2nd 3rd place finish. i went to go warm up on the main track for a little nit and coming back to our truck, the race was running late( due to the ambulance being late). so after a little while, my uncle (chris) took me out on the main track once more. after my 2nd time out on the main track, i was ready to race. practice started and i was practice 3. urring my practice, i foucused on the series points leader (kawasaki rider 155) durring the last of practice, we got into a little battle. moto 1 came along and i strated out in 3rd. i was chasing down my friend luc nieuwenhuis on the honda crf150r. in front of us both was the kawasaki riderr #155( forgot his name). about 3 laps in, 155 crashed on the down hill witch put me into second. with about 2 laos to go, i passed luc niewenhuis on the step down section, placing me in first. i held luc off to the finish. 2nd moto came along and i got the worst start. half way through the first lap i cought up with luc and #155. i chased luc down but under pressure, staled his bike in a corner leading up a hill. passing luc put me in 3rd, and having to chase down the kx100 #155. i kept with the #155 untill the last lap. on the last lap, i took an inside line leading to the uphill section, while he took the outside line. at the end of the turn(where the lines combined) we made contanct, with me pushing him to the outside. he let off the gas and let me pass him heading up the hill. on the last corner, about 3 ft from the finish line, he tried to make a pass on me but crashed. giving 3rd to luc. the 1st place winner winner went to the #12 honda crf150r. the results wer: me(1,2). #12HONDA(3,1). luc (2,3). #155KAWASAKI(4,4)
me taking the overall win. i would have to say that was the race of my life, and i am hoping to do it again this weekend
