Overview

How I got started

I started racing in 1988 after going to the 1987 GP at Steel city, I was hooked. My first race was at High Point nationals on a 1988 CR500 and I finished mid pack in the C class. I raced on and off for a few years until early 90`s and started racing more often. I raced 125 C class for a few years and advanced to the B class in 1995. I started to run +25 in 1998. In 2000 I started to run +30 also. I have moved back to Vet C for this year, I have not been riding and I have lost conditioning and some skill. I am working on moving back up to the B class as soon as I can compete.

Goals for the Future

My goals for next season is to train over the winter and try to race a couple of indoor races, 1 or 2 trips to Florida to get some riding in and my dream is to qualify for Ponca City.On top of that I am going to try to win the +25 and vet C, +35 and +40 class in CRA and District 5.

What has been your most embarrassing moment?

Many years back I was racing at Challenger raceway in District 5 and I got the crashing sucks award that day and I had to go up at intermission and they interviewed me in front of the whole crowed. I looped out over the finish line table top. LOL !!!!

Competitive Highlights

Over the years I have had many highlights but the one that means the most to me was in 1991 I bought a new RM125 and a friend of mine at the shop gave me 00 to put on my # plates, this was his # and he said now you will win tonight. I went racing at Pymatuning holeshot raceway and took a 1-1 finish in the C class. That was my first trophy and win racing motocross.
The one thing that is more important to me than the first win and trophy is the wonderfull people I have became friends with over the years while racing.
