What inspires you to compete?

At first It wasn`t reallly what inspired me but who. When I was little the older riders at my track really took an interest in me and that made me want to race and do good. So when I first started it was the older guys. Later having a bunch of really good riding partners has kept me wanting to compete. Mentally I get a lot of inspiration from my Mom and Dad because they are behind me and are always positive about my riding. Now days I enjoy competeing because I like the challenge of always trying to stay on top or near the top.

What has been your most embarrassing moment?

Lets see. I used the bathroom before the race and forgot to zip up the pants. During the race the pants came down and I couldn`t get them up. It was funny. Even I was laughing.

Why do you like this sport?

At first when a was little I just liked to goof around and ride in the trails and do little hillclimbs.and it was so much fun. Then I liked to watch motocross on T.V. and I used to try and copy how the pro`s rode. Then I started watching the good guys at our track and I started to copy them and race with them. Pretty soon we were all good friends and riding and racing was something we all did together. I`ve made the best friends through riding and its made motocross a part of my life and not just a sport. But really I still like to goof around and just play ride all weekend.

Some Personal Information About Me:

I graduated from Kahuku High School which is located on the North Shore of O`ahu in the State of Hawaii. My Mom, Dad and my little sister Carrie are all involved in motocross and my family is at the motocross park every weekend. I spend as much time on the weekends as I can riding. On the weekdays I have a great job working with a big contractor. I enjoy spending time with my girlfriend or hanging out at the beach and playing music when I am not riding or working.

Describe your style...

I think my style of riding is pretty technical because I spend a lot of time going over the small things over and over again. I also like to try new things and be more creative because that's the way to keep the riding fun and fresh.  I still practice my whips too !!!

Overview

How I got started

I started racing Quads when I was nine at John Desoto`s arenacross events here in Hawaii. I won the 80 ATV class that first season. Later that year my Uncle bought me my first dirtbike a 1998 Kx 60 and I started riding trails with him and my Dad. My dad wanted to race motocross at our local track here in Kahuku and he talked me into racing too. After a few races I was doing pretty good so my dad quit racing and started to help me.I was 10 years old when I raced my first full season on that KX 60. I am 20 years old now and In the past ten years I've raced in Oregon,Washington,Guam and California. I still race the 450 local pro class here in Hawaii and me and my Dad still hang out every weekend at the track.
