Calling all fans that claim to have James’ back… Literally! How would you like to be a part of James’ 2010 racing program by custom designing one of the key components to his racing success? That’s right, James’ custom, one-off butt patches have inspired him to a ton of race wins over the years, and now’s your chance to be a part of his winning ways!

Using your own original artwork, design a brand-new butt patch that may just make its way onto a set of James’ racing gear at one of five stops during the 2010 Supercross series! If it does, not only will you earn huge bragging rights amongst your friends, those very pants, raced in by James, will be yours!

Art work will be collected throughout the course of the 2010 series, and five winning designs will be chosen to grace James’ rear section at one of five chosen Supercross rounds, starting with Anaheim 1 just a few weeks away! Along with faithful sponsors Red Bull and Answer Racing, James will choose a winner the week prior to each of the five chosen events, and the winning design will be developed into a real patch and sewn onto James’ racing pants.

This contest is open to legal residents of the fifty United States and the District of Columbia only, and you must be at least 13 years of age as of the date of entry. All other “official” contest rules can be viewed HERE, so be sure to check them out before unleashing your creative prowess!

Back in July we announced James’ involvement in the highly anticipated return of the best-selling off-road racing video game ever, MX vs. ATV. Many of you may already be familiar with the popular THQ franchise, but James is stoked to be a part of the most impressive version yet—MX vs. ATV Reflex!

Now in stores, we grabbed a few copies and went to work to try our luck against the latest in technology, and wow were we impressed! Available for XBOX 360, Playstation 3, PSP, and Nintendo DS
, Reflex is packed with insane new features like the all-new Rhythm Racing 2.0 physics engine, Rider Reflex control system, and real-time terrain deformation!

What in the world does all this mean, you may ask? Well, for starters, you can tell a drastic difference in power characteristics depending on the track surface that you’re on. Just like on a real track, the bike actually bogs and loses power when you’re charging through the sand. On the flip side, you’ll experience power gains and looser handling characteristics when on hard packed, just like you would in a real racing situation! In addition, there’s a noticeable power difference between the 250F and 450F powerplants, requiring a change in approach when it comes to clearing the bigger jumps and nailing the tricky rhythm sections. Possibly the coolest feature of all, however, is the Rider Reflex control system that allows you to scrub speed off of jumps, just like James does in real life! Add to the mix the real-time terrain deformation, which actually causes a change in track conditions lap after lap during a moto, and you’ve got by far the most insane moto game ever!

And who knows… With the online play feature that allows up to 12 racers to compete against each other through the Internet, you may actually get your chance to race against James someday!

By now many of you have already heard the news, but James is bummed to officially announce his withdrawal from the Genoa Supercross (Genoa, Italy) and the Brisbane Super X (Brisbane, Australia) due to medical reasons.

After having to sit out of the third night of racing at the recent Bercy Supercross in Paris, France thanks to a severe case of food poisoning, James returned home to Florida where he quickly recovered and jumped straight back into his aggressive testing and training program. After recent medical evaluation, however, it was learned that James’ immune system is dangerously compromised at the moment, and travel out of the country, as well as strenuous activity, could jeopardize his health even further.

“I’m really bummed out right now,” James told us. “I’ve had some great experiences racing outside of the States, and I was really looking forward to the races in Italy and Australia. This is a critical time of the year in terms of my preparation for Anaheim, though, so I’ve got to be smart and listen to my doctors and team on this one. This is not what I want, but my health has to come first.”

James is now resting and taking the necessary time to improve his health, and looks forward to the kick-off of the 2010 Supercross series when it hits Anaheim on January 9th.

Hey everyone, it’s James. I’m back home in Florida now resting up after a long week of traveling, and I’m already feeling much better after the race in Paris and what happened.

Motohead, I’m not sure where you came up with the idea that I’m more focused on my TV show than on my racing? That is 100% wrong, and who or where you heard that from is wrong, as well. My whole life is dedicated racing, and it has been for 20 years.

So, me missing one MX season doesn’t mean that I’ve let the sport down in any way whatsoever. I honestly believe that I have done a lot for motorcycle racing, but I don’t expect anything back because I do it for the love of it.

I just wanted to check in to clear that up before it got way outta hand, and also just to say hello to everyone here and let you all know that I’m fine now. We are running some tests to see what exactly went wrong in Paris, and when I know you guys will know soon after. Hope all is well, and thanks for the support!

After taking the first night by storm, James Stewart came back once again and proved he’s the man to beat at Bercy’s second night of racing in Paris, France.

Surprisingly, James didn’t win the first battle of the night, as both Justin Brayton and Greg Aranda did a faster lap than the reigning champion during the ‘Superpole’ confrontation. Stewart reacted immediately, showing his competition the short way around the track as he dominated the following three rounds of the ‘American race’. But it wasn’t a cakewalk for James, who had some pressure, and even had a mishap when he went out of the track in a technical section.

James didn’t get the holeshot in the main event, either, but led his rivals after just two corners, and went on to a relatively easy win in the last race of the night to take the overall victory for the second night in a row. Bayton and Aranda went on to finish second and third, respectively.

Relaxed and smiling when he arrived in the Palais Omnisports in Paris, France, the reigning World SX Champion took his time to find the good rhythm on the tight course, but once he did, it was game on for Stewart. James won the first night of the fabled Bercy Supercross with ease, besting fellow American Justin Brayton, who finished second, and Greg Aranda, who was third.

“The atmosphere is always great here, and I’m happy to be back. The fans were nice to me, and it took me some time to feel comfortable, but I did it and won all the races” said James after the main event. Stewart was leading when the race director put the red flag out following a bad crash by Steve Boniface, but a few minutes later James got another holeshot to win the last race. Always fast in Bercy, Brayton finished three times runner-up and scored a second position overall, followed by the ‘Frenchies.’

The 2009 version of the infamous US Open of Supercross in Sin City, Nevada kicked off in style on Friday night in the MGM’s Grand Garden Arena, and JS7 (sporting bold number ones) came out swinging aboard his brand-new 2010 YZ450! Setting the pace from the start, James dropped lap times unmatched by his competition, as he confidently secured the number one qualifying position for the night show’s first stop—one-on-one match races!

That’s right, the top-ten qualifiers from today’s timed practice sessions moved straight into a special match-race segment of the program prior to the night’s heat races, with winners being awarded points toward their weekend total. The one-on-one heats were decided by a simple draw of the hat, and Wil Hahn was the lucky rider to pull James’ name into competition. “I just hope I don’t pull Stewart’s name,” Hahn commented just before pulling Stewart’s name. “I don’t want to be embarrassed this early in the weekend,” Wil said laughing. And just like that, the gate dropped, and James charged out to a quick lead and his first win of the night.

Fast-forward through two quick heat races, and James wheeled his shiny new Yami out of the MGM tunnel to grab the first pick of the gate for heat number three. Third from the left (inside) was his choice, and once again he rocketed out to a great jump, but this time had the number 100 of Josh Hansen to contend with. The two exchanged elbows for two corners before James grabbed a gear and checked out, cruising in for a seemingly easy win.

A few semis and a couple LCQs later, the main event qualifiers once again took center stage, with James once again choosing the third gate from the left to begin battle. After a swift kick of the foot by the starter, the gate dropped, and James charged his way to another holeshot. From there, the number one Yamaha would go unchallenged, as James pounded 20 quick laps to call it a night, cruising in ahead of Honda Red Bull Racing’s Davi Millsaps, and Geico Motorsports Honda’s Dan Reardon. “It was a good night,” James commented on the podium. “We’re still working some things out with the new bike, so it’s great to get it out here in a racing situation to see where we’re at. I’d like to thank all of the fans for coming out here tonight to support the event. Without you guys this event wouldn’t be possible, so thanks for showing up!”
