Man, this summer was a total bummer.  My motor blew up back at the end of July and my dad finally got it fixed a couple of weeks ago.  I was so happy to finally get back on my bike and fly, but then we came up on another problem,  I grew almost 2 inches since I had last been on my bike and now I am WAY to tall for it.  So now we are selling my rm85 so I can get a 125.  To keep in shape I am playing on my Jr. High 7th grade football team, and after that season is over I will hopefully make the basketball team too.  We don't have any indoor tracks close to us to ride at during the winter, so I think I will pretty much be off my bike until probably March or April, unless an indoor track opens near us.

Today was the first day of Spring Break so my parents decided to take me out to a track to practice.  I haven't been on a track since about September sometime.  The local indoor track closed down this year so there was nowhere close to ride this winter.  So we went to a track called Morelands.  I haven't ever been there, but man was it sweet.  It is a supercross style track that is about 1 mile long.  There were only a couple other bikes there so I got alot of practice time in.  I was back to my old self riding after about two laps.  It felt so good just to be out there.  The weather was perfect too, which for Michigan is very rare.  Hopefully next weekend my dad can take me to my favorite local track, Big Air Motocross.  I have my eye on the weather though because it is only suppose to be in the 30's and snowing.  Cross you fingers and hope it gets warmer.

I have been struggling this year, and we finally figured out it was my bike. I took my bike in and had it fixed and raced at Big Air and finaly broke the top 10 with a 7th overall finish. We then went to Grattan Raceway and i strugled with my bike with all the new power. It kind of felt like i was out of control on the bike it had so much power, and i wasn`t used to it. I set out to change that and i practiced a couple time a week, and really worked on my conditioning. I headed to Big Air to see if it paid off and i think it did. I finished a strong 3rd in my first moto. I had a bad start in the second moto and found myself in 5th place. i pushed hard up to 3rd and one of my best friends Devonn was in 2nd. Devonn went down in a corner and i passed him. I said to myself here is my chance to take 2nd place. Devonn and I battled for 2 laps. I held him off until we came into a corner together. Devonn was on the inside and i was on the outside, and i said to myself i`m not giving an inch. Well Devonn and i collided in the corner and I ended up falling over. I ended up finishing 3rd overall. I really wanted 2nd place, but i learned alot about not putting myself in a position to fall and destroy my chances at winning. It was my best finish of the season, and hopefully the start to a btter season.

I have really been struggling with my bike for about the last 2 months. I would be in 9th place out of 16 and by the end of the race would finish in 16th. My bike just wouldn`t pull me up the hills. My dad tried everything. new sprockets, new clutch, different gas, everything. We were at the point where we just didn`t want to race anymore, because we couldn`t figure out what was wrong. Finally we decided to take the bike to a guy to have the motor totally rebuilt and ported. When we dropped of the bike the guy took the ignition cover off and found that the bike was out of time by 180 degrees. Which means the bike basically was as far out of time as it could be producing no power. I had my first race back on the bike last weekend at Big Air and finished 7th. I finally was able to see where i stood in my class with no excuses, basically just me and my bike racing. I felt really strong and was able to be competitive, and no one passed me which was a first. I feel like its my first race of the season and can`t wait until my next race.

Me and my dad headed down to Red Bud for the pro race over the holiday weekend. We met up with some friends of ours and we all camped at Red Bud from Friday until Sunday. Boy was that alot of fun! We had a riot watching all the racing that entire weekend. I got Chad Reed, Jason Lawerence, Mike Lorracco, Nathan Ramsey, Josh Woods, and Nick Wey`s autographs. I also got pictures with some of them. All those guys are so cool. I can`t wait to go back next year. If you look under my pictures, there is a picture of Ryan Villopoto and you can see me and my dad in the crowd. I thought that was pretty cool.

This weekend was an off weekend for racing. The only races that were going on were the LL`s Regional at Dutch Sport Park. I was going to go and watch the races but I had been asked to be on a travel basketball team and we had a 2 day tournament going on. We played 3 games on Saturday and 2 games on Sunday. We ended up 3 wins and 2 losses. We had alot of fun and learned alot.

I am racing this weekend at Grattan Raceway. They are having a Ponca City qualifier. I`m sure there is going to be some really fast kids there this weekend. I`ll post an update this weekend and let you all know how I did. C-ya!

Hey everyone, hope your race season is going well. My last race I did was at Big Air Motocross and I got an 11th place overall finish. We went to the track on Friday to practice. I have been doing all the jumps at this track except for one. It is about a 55 foot double. About half way through practice I finally just went for it and I made it!!! I was so excited, it was an awesome feeling. A couple of practice sessions later I was doing another jump and my throttle stuck and I landed funny but I was able to save it and I kept going. I came up to the big double and went to jump it and my bike just completely nosedived and I hit the face of jump and flipped the bike and tore my seat off. My dad had to fix my bike but it just wasn`t running right. My dad and a friend worked on the bike at the track until 11 pm and they got it running real good for the race on saturday. I tried my hardest on saturday but just didn`t get the results I wanted. The class I race in has so many fast kids. I`m still learning alot on this bigger bike and also running the big tracks this year. It is definately alot different from last year. I won`t be racing again until June 24th. I`ll update after that. Later!

Not only will I be done with school on Thursday this week, but I get to go and race at one of my favorite tracks this weekend. We will be heading to Big Air Motocross in Newaygo Michigan. I had to miss their first races because they were during the Easter weekend and then their second races were cancelled due to so much rain here in Michigan. I love this track because it has a good variety of jumps and elevation changes, it also has some straightaways where you can get your speed up. My mom will definately be filming my races and taking some pictures during practice which we will post here. Hope everyone has a great weekend and I will update with results on Monday.

Hey Everyone! Hope everyone is having a great season so far. For me I definately have alot of improvement to do, but I am learning more and more everytime I go out. This weekend we raced at Grattan Raceway again, and I rode the 85cc 7-11 class. It was a crazy weekend for weather here in Michigan and it made for some interesting racing. On Friday afternoon it was really nice out and all of a sudden it just started to down pour. I think I heard someone say they got 3 inches of rain at the track in 1 hour. It was a total mudfest in the pits. It still hadn`t dried up by Satruday morning so practice was a total mess. Alot of the 50 and 65 kids didn`t even practice because it would have been too hard on their bikes. First moto came and I got a pretty good start and was running about mid pack, but I got passed by a couple of people and finished in 11th. By the time the 1st motos were done the track was getting dried out and it was actually looking really good and then all of a sudden it started to rain really hard for about 15 minutes. I was very thankful that it stopped raining the moto before mine. In the second moto I got another mid pack start and was running in 10th until my real good friend passed me with about half a lap to go. So I ended up in 11th again. I thought the overall posting had me in 10th overall, but they haven`t posted it online yet. I wasn`t too happy with my results, but I did get much better in the corners by my second moto. Like I said before I am learning alot everytime I ride. Later everyone!!

This week I decided I wanted to take the weekend off from racing and have my dad work on my bike setup. I hadn`t been happy with my last couple of results in my races so we wanted to try some new things to maybe make the bike feel a little better. So we headed to Big Air in Newaygo, Michigan to do some testing and practice. I think we made alot of progress. By the end of the day the we got the bike running great and I feel really good on it. I really worked on my speed and cornering. My dad said I was flying and he was real impressed with my improvement. I was really happy will my progress and can`t wait to get back to Big Air and race. I think we will be going there in a couple of weeks. We will be heading back to Grattan next weekend. Later everyone!
