got to stay fly tell i die

Overview

How I got started

Christmas 2001/Jan. 2002, I got/rode my first motorcycle (KTM 50).
In June 2002, I got my first 65cc dirt bike. I did the Canyon State Series in the 50 and 65 classes, finishing first overall in both.
In 2003, I rode the State AMX Series and finished 2nd overall.
I did my first World Minis Nationals and Ponca City Nationals.
In 2004, I have done a lot of misc. races in my state and have done several out-of-state races/practicing. Plus, I have done the Lake Whitney and Ponca City Nationals.

Goals for the Future

My goals for 2006 is to stay healthy and go to as many National Races I can. I want to win as many races as I can, between my mom and step-dad, they are going to take me to different states and let me race, so I can improve against all types of riders and on different tracks.
I want to continue to give it 100% and ride hard! I am now in an older group, against kids that have been riding a lot longer than me, aren`t coming back from a seriuos injury as I just had, so I have my work cut out for me, but I CAN DO IT!

Bio

Some Personal Information About Me:

I want to thank my mom, step-dad and dad for letting me do what I love! I also want to give a special thanks to my dad for always making sure I have my bikes to ride (my mechanic) and for taking me to my races and practices, mom too, since she takes me when my dad can`t! Thank you both for working hard so I can live my dream of riding/racing motocross!! I also want to thank my younger brother (Kordell)and older sister (Jericho) who always support me and cheer me on when I`m racing. Thank you Kordell & Jericho for letting mom & dad give up time with you, to take me to practice & race! I like playing my playstation & x-box. I like riding my bicycle and playing baseball. I enjoy going to all the motorcross events (supercross, freestyle, & outdoor mx races). I believe that my homework needs to be done first before I practice or race. My parents told me that A`s = Awesome, B`s = Borderline, C`s = Contingent, D`s = Don`t Ride, & F`s = For Sale and I have taken them seriously, so I don`t mess around when it comes to school. I like watching other riders, and learning from them.

Do you train? What does your schedule look like?

Yes, I train, right now it is all about strength, building my muscles back up and endurance after being down for almost a year, it takes a lot from you. I was hurt pretty bad and I just want to ride hard again and win!!!

Competitive Highlights

The #1 Highlight of my career so far was I got to ride the KTM Supercross Challenge 50cc in Bank One BallPark and meeting Jeremy McGrath there. I was in 1st place up until the last lap, I went down in the whoops and fell back to 9th place, I got up and right before the checkered flag I made it back into 2nd place and made it to the podium & on the big screen tv inside the stadium.

In April 2003, I did my first Nationals, the World Mini`s in Las Vegas finishing 18th overall in the Mod. & 21st overall in the Stock Main Events. In July 2003, I did my first Ponca City Grand Nationals and finished 12th overall in the Mod., and 16th overall in the Stock Main Events.

In 2004, I did the Lake Whitney, Texas National and Ponca City, OK Grand National & AZ Amateur Open National. I made my mains in LW, but had problems in Ponca and didn`t make it (next year) and the AZ Open there wasn`t a main only one division, finishing 7th, 8th and 12th overall. I also did the qualifiers for my region for the Loretta Lynn National and missed the confirmed list by one, making me first alternate for our region (my parents didn`t know we could go to another region), so next year.

2005 was going good I was training for the Nationals when on April 2nd, `05 I crashed hard at MotoGrande in Casa Grand, AZ. I ended up tearing my liver and spleen and breaking my pelvis. I was devastated because all I want to do is ride and now I can`t for at least six months they told me. Well, it is now the end of Sept. `05 and almost 6 months later and after many complications, I got the okay from my doctor around the 8th of Sept. that the MRI looked good and that I could get back to riding but I need to take it slow. I have been on the bike twice and it felt great but I can see where I need to build some strength back up. I am training hard off the track right now and I will be back for the end of `05 season and look forward to getting back to winning and making next years Nationals!!

2006 looked like it was going to be a good year, and still might be. In March I did the LL Qualifier at ACP in Buckeye, AZ and qualified to go to the finals it was awesome, a lot of kids there. Unfortunately, my bad luck hit me again. A couple days later I was practicing for another race when I crashed and ended up braking my knuckle in my hand and my growth bone in my hand, I was in a cast for 6 weeks. Plus, I separated my shoulder. I do plan on making a comeback and I am planning on doing the WInter Nationals at ACP this year. Everyone was so excited to see me back and so was I. They couldn`t believe how well I did for just coming back! So, we`ll see you at the races!!!
