Some Personal Information About Me:
My name is Dennis Jonon, im 18 and live in Spring Hill, KS. I grew up racing all the amateur nationals, winning multiple championships against Mike Alessi, Ryan Villopoto, Davi Millsaps and others... In 2001, I broke my femur, hip and pelvis in one crash in practice at Ponca City. I was in a body cast for 6 months and couldn't ride for 13 months. During healing, my ball and socket of my hip deteriorated and I lost 2+ inches off my left leg. I walk with a limp, and also have a 2 inch lift built onto my shoes and boots.
What inspires you to compete?
Knowing that I have been at the top before, I have the heart and will to be there again...
Do you train? What does your schedule look like?
Yes, my schedule is as follows:
Monday - stretch(recovery from weekend), easy 20 mile roadbike ride, and stretch
Tuesday - Swim laps for 1 hour, arm workout, ride 2 hours
Wednesday - Stretch, roadbike 45 miles, ride
Thursday - Swim 30 mins, arm workout
Friday - Recover, get ready for weekend race
Music?
I like a lot of music, I used to travel to all the races with my dad, so I like a lot of oldies but also underground punk rock and hip hop.
What do you want to be when you grow up?
Professional Motocrosser. I am a privateer right now, and one day I hope to have a salary for a good team.
