Race Report!!!

The Royal Purple - Jones Motorsports S-10 Xtreme Team competed in the 28th Annual O’Reilly Super Chevy Show -Chevy Power - "Wide Open" Tour. The event got underway on Friday April 18^th with a test and tune (which was postponed due to weather) for racing competitors and continued through Sunday. Event activities included: car show, and manufactures midway, nitro coupes, jet exhibition cars, and exciting side by side drag racing.

This was a great opportunity for the JMS team to showcase our sponsors and the great products they manufacture to a national audience. The event attracted over one hundred thousand spectators, with local and national media in attendance.

In the pit area we had a tremendous response to our race vehicle. It was a pleasure to answer questions about our race truck, products of our sponsors, and hand out decals to spectators.

With a high level of competition on the track, the race vehicle ran consistent nine ninety passes through out the weekend. The JMS team set two personal best times during the weekend; best E.T. and sixty foot time. The team won two rounds of racing before falling in round three. Team JMS driver Richard Jones said: “We are proud to come out for the first race event of the year, Go some rounds, and set personal best records. We made the right equipment changes and set up strategies during the off season.”

Three and Out!!!

Saturday July 28^th outside of Littlerock Arkansas, The Jones Motorsports Team competed in Prescott Raceways weekly E.T. racing series. The Jones Motorsports Team battled through tough competition and a sweltering track, and found themselves in the Simi Final round before being defeated due to a power plant malfunction. “We had a good car this weekend” said Jones. “It’s unfortunate that we were unable to get into the final round, and take home a victory”. After the race Crew Chief and Technical Advisor Thomas Jones said, “We were right were we wanted to be, this gives us confidence going into the next event, were looking for the Victory”.
