How I got started

I started out as a local racer that would practice maybe once a week and then go to the races on the weekend. After doing this for a year or two, Christmas 2004 I made a trip to MTF in Cairo, GA. From that point on everything changed. I began to live at the facility as a weekly camper. After a lot of hard work and dedication I ended up making Loretta Lynn?s in 2005, which was completely unexpected. After Loretta?s in 2005 I was offered a MTF membership. Since then I have been living at the facility full-time, training with Colleen Millsaps on the track and Brad Johnson in the gym, in route to reaching my goal of becoming a Pro.

Goals for the Future

1. Move to the A class and ride AMA Arenacross to get my pro license.
2. Race East Coast Lites Supercross in 2007.

Why do you like this sport?

I like this sport because it`s such a challenge and it`s always changing. For instance, at MTF we work sections day after day, ride 30 minute motos and its not easy to get faster and drop your times. It takes a lot of work to be good. However, once you do something fast or right, then you feel so good because you`ve worked so hard to acheive it. Also this sport is never boring. Even when running the same track multiple times, every lap has new lines and as the moto wears on, the track continues to change, bigger braking bumps, deeper ruts. That keeps it interesting.

Some Personal Information About Me:

Do you train? What does your schedule look like?

September 2005 I was accepted as a full member of MTF. My training schedule while at MTF is Monday-Thursday on track training for 5 hours and gym workout/cardio for 2+ hours. Racing most weekends. I train at MTF year-round.

How's Life Treating You?

Life`s treating me great. i mean, I live at the best training facility in the country , riding with some of the fastest and coolest kids in the nation. I earned my high school diploma last April, home schooling while training at MTF. Most importantly, I have the BEST two parents any kid could ever ask for. My mom and dad are behind me 150% in my goal of becoming a pro mxer. They do everything for me to give me the best chance at accomplishing my goal.

Do you like to travel? What's your best (clean) road trip story?

hahah well, I don`t really like to travel, but its obviously something I do all the time when I`m going to the races. The best road trip story I have is probably when me, my mother and a friend from MTF we call Turkey, went to a Loretta qualifier in Tennessee. Somehow, at a gas station he ended up dumping 21 gallons of gas onto the ground. We were surrounded in a puddle of gas and all he did was keep screaming. We ended up getting out o.k. so it wasn`t too bad. It was just funny because the kid always has bad luck, and it would figure that the one time we took him to a race he almost killed us. haha it was a good time.
