How did your team get started?

I started snowcross because I always wanted to race. My friend had a son who raced and was selling his sled because he was starting college and couldn`t afford racing anymore. I bought his machine with the intention that if I didn`t like racing or do good, I would make the machine into a trail machine. I did well and got hooked! I race in the plus classes because of my age...I`m 49. I also want my 11 year old nephew to get started.

What is your team mission/ motivation?

We want to promote snowmobiling and our sponsors. I also teach hunting and snowmobile safety classes in Upper Michigan. I have lots of students and make lots of friends. When I pull into a race, I usually have a lot of "friends" stop by and say hello. I`m always willing to help someone out, and I think that`s why I have so many friends!

I like when guys say they are there just to have fun! I go to win. I started winning this season and I now expect to win every race I'm in. If I don't I'm not happy. The races I didn't win, I had bad luck or mechanical failure, But I don't like to make excuses.

What has been your biggest accomplishment?

It was hard to get started because of my age. I think if you don`t have any experience, you need to have someone who does help you out. Every race is a new experience, and I continue to get better each race. The first race I ever entered, I came in 3rd place and won a plaque from a WSA regional race...I never expected to do so well the first time out!
