We did not attend this event due to the ECPRA Pro Mod Class being cancelled due to an insufficient number of cars.

July 11, 2009 / Midway Dragstrip
Special thanks to Scott Sain for all his hard work promoting this event!

We did not attend this event due to engine problems two days prior testing at MIR, Budds Creek. From what we here this event was incredible and we will certianly plan on being there next year! We just want to say to Scott Sain (promoter) and anyone else who was looking forward to seeing us that we are terribly sorry we could not make it. We just did not have enough time to get the car back together.

Sunday July 26, 2009 - IMSTAR Sport Compact Summer Nationals & Swap Meet
www.mirdrag.com
After cracking SEVERAL cylinders at prior races
we decided to take a step back and start over again. We changed the cylinders, pulled out the bottle and dialed back the boost.
We went Friday night to M.I.R. and raced in the bracket class using it as a Test and Tune Session. We started out with mild boost and pulled back the two step. We blew off the tires and ran a 10.88ET at 125MPH. We ended up running 5 passes Friday night with a best of 10.72ET @ 130MPH )! We knew we were back in business.
Soooo, we went to MIR again today to run the IMSTAR Import shoot-out. We brought in just 1 more pound of boost. We decided to run brackets instead of a Heads-Up class. By playing with the shocks, Tire Pressure and launch RPM we ended up with a 10.51ET @ 131MPH ((6.69 @ 105MPH 1/8th) on boost! We went 7 rounds today running cars that were dialing in with 17's and 18's (there were a few running 11's but we were by far the fastest qualifier) and ended up in the semi-finals. This is all WITH THE BELT ON!!! This thing is gonna haul the mail again! We can still get the 60 ft. down and play with shift points. I can't thank a few people enough for telling me to just take a step back and review. Sometimes taking a step back is a good thing! This car has ALOT left in it!

BugOut 66
September 6, 2009 / Old Dominion Speedway (www.bugouts.com)
Well we put another BugOut in the books folks. Before I get to the car action let me take this moment to express how much I enjoy this venue. It's like a family reunion to go back once or twice a year and see folks again. The VW community has some of the greatest people around! Now on to the car; we ran three passes total. Traction was hard to find at the track today. The car did fine but we did have a little exhaust stud problem on the last pass. It actually pulled out from the head. It's not a hard repair and we'll take care of it. First pass was a 6.95ET @ 105MPH. Second pass was a 6.79ET @ 104MPH. No win today but the car is still in one piece, so to speak,LOL!

Sunday September 16,2009 - Pass Time Show
www.mirdrag.com
Pass Time was a Great experience! We were selected for the show and feel we put on a good show. It was awesome to meet Brett Wagner, Ken Herring, Paige,Ray I. and Troy! We can't wait for the episode to come out and we'll post on here as soon as we find out. Jerry ran a great pass and did a nice "Wheels Up" wheelie out of the hole running a 10.37ET@130MPH! You'll have to watch the show to see who wins the $$$! We just wish Jerry's Stepdad (Charlie) was here to see it! He's still JLR's biggest racing fan! We miss you Pop's!

Oct 25, 2009.........Fast Times at Farmington #10 / Farmington Dragway
www.sevwa.com / www.unlimitedstreeteast.com
Another Great event! For those of you who don't know, this event is an Air-Cooled VW event only. The Unlimited Street East class has to complete an approx. 30 mile cruise the evening before and then compete the following day. The cruise went well with no one dropping out from breaking down.
JLR Racing finished 3rd due to issues with the exhaust studs. We finished with 2nd qualifier and Low ET in Elims. (6.44ET @ 112MPH). We were not dissapointed with the outcome, the car is still intact with some minor issues and the Class keeps getting more competitive. Thanks to ALL the Sponsors of USE for making this such a great event!

Saturday November 7-8, 2009 World Cup Finals (Import vs. Domestic)
www.mirdrag.com / www.importvsdomestic.com
We did'nt have the race gods smiling on us at this event. We broke the Ring and Pinion gear in the Trans on the first launch and were done for event. We did have an opportunity to see our friend Nathan Lee in his "Tuff" bug run the first ever 8 second pass by an Air Cooled Door Slammer on the East Coast! Very Cool to watch.
Enjoy a link to his pass: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eY7GqnJ2e2o
