Overview

How I got started

I moved out to CO from Milwaukee, WI for snowboarding. My first summer out here I bought my first decent mtb and I was hooked, but cross country was not enough. Growing up skateboarding, riding 20 inch, and snowboarding I needed more of a rush so I got into downhilling.

Goals for the Future

I'm working on getting more fit so I can pedal harder on my race runs.  I'd also like to move up semi pro someday.

Bio

Do you train? What does your schedule look like?

In the summer I ride my downhill bike 2 to 4 times a week. I also try to get on my cross country bike as much as I can, as well as some dirt jumping and urban riding. In the winter I snowboard quite a bit (60 to 70 days a season on average) I also ride my bike roller and lift weights.

Music?

A lot of good, different styles of music.

Why do you compete?

Because of how much fun I have at each of the races. I'm not a super competitive guy I just like riding with friends, picking apart the courses and seeing how fast you can get down them without getting hurt, and if you're faster than some of your competers that's just a bonus.

How's Life Treating You?

Awsome. I have no regrets.

Competitive Highlights

In August 2004, I entered my first DH race in Snowmass, CO.  I raced sport and took 2nd.  My second race in Durango I broke my neck (C1,C2, andC3) during practice.  I can still walk and ride - I'm a lucky SOB!  During the summer of 2005 I slowly got back into biking.  At the end of the summer, I raced Keystone and took 4th.
