Hello! Just wanted to post an update! This weekend is the WMA Super Saturday Double Header!! I will post some results and pictures *if possible* as soon as I get back!! Thanks all!

Alright so this weekend was hilarious odd. We went to super saturday it had rained pretty much all week and all night the track was soo muddy~~ We didnt even do an organized practice and we had to vote about whether to race or not...

On my parade lap for beginner 125, I crashed so hard. I scrubed going over a table and missed the landing with my bike landing forward/side ways in a HUGE puddle. Bent my handle bars, my wheel was disaligned and actually bent my rad. So i raced it was kind of a write off but i came in 6th so that was awesome. Ladies race was a little bit better, my bike still wasn't straightened out but there wasnt many ladies and I ended up coming in second.

For the second set of moto;s the sun came out and dried to track up a bit. It was AMAZING!! I was flying came held off the boys and came in 4th while almost holding off my moto-brother Jake.  It was one of my best races ever the track was tough but it was nice and tacky. For ladies I got the hole shot and lead the race for a few laps, until a lapper cut me off and the girl who was behind me got me! I was choked but I did almost catch her and it was another GREAT race! I came in second that was a a wicked feeling for me.

We were then supposed to go to Rocky Mountian House for Round 4 of the SOAB series. But we had heard it was raining all week there and there was (and still is) a heavy rainfall warning for that area. I mad the excutive decision not to go, and this morning we found out it was cancelled anyway. We camped out at the track, with my motocross family and had a blast! Unfortunately it rained (POURED!) all night and the track was closed today. So we are now just working on our bikes and getting out stuff in gear for the double header next weekend!

Talk to you soon!!

Thanks

Hello! Here is an update for this weekend...

Saturday we have the 2nd round of the WMA Super Saturday Series. I will be racing both Ladies A and Beginner 125. I am excited, we have installed new fork seals and I FINIALLY have a new back tire!

Sunday: Round 4 of the SOAB Series in Rocky Mountian House, Alberta. This will be a great track! Looks like there are lots of jumps and I have never ridden it before. I will let ya'll know when I get back!!

Thanks!

Well we made a quick decision late this week to go to Olds, Alberta to take part in the First and Second Rounds of the CMA Sanctioned Dirt Track series. The first day we were guest of the Ride for Sight charity event which is a great cause and our first entry 'fee' was really just a donation to the charity! It was crazy to get up there but totally worth it!!

Friday after work we headed out to pick up a truck camper, we cleaned it and loaded up for the trip on Saturday morning to Olds. We arrived in Olds at around 9am, set up unloaded and got ready to race. I rode a 2007 YZ450F with a dirt track tire on the back and the stock knobby on the front. We got three laps of practice then we started the program. I got the hole shot and placed overall 2nd! It was awesome. The track was a little soft in the 1st/2nd corner and apparently wasn't a "proper" dirt track but was fun none the less. Unfortunately we didnt get a second go around but we still had Sunday for racing!!

We slept in the awesome camper we picked up and where so tired so we slept through most of the rowdy but entertaining biker parties that were going on all night. The "Ride for Sight" is a major fundraiser for cures for blindness, http://www.rideforsight.com/ , and it really is a big motorcycle rally that hundreds of bikers attend. There is onsite camping, which was in the infield of our dirt track which is known as a race horse track for the other 363 days a year. It was a lot of fun watching them do burn-outs, drinking, laughing and cheering. Everything to them deserved a huge whoot and hollar! It was great! The camper was great, I love not sleeping in a tent!

Sunday morning, we got to sleep in a bit and they changed the track. Instead of trying to flatten the track, which from the day before wasnt' work very week since the make up of the earth for the horse racing isn't sticky or clay(ish), they made it a cushioned track. It was harder with the slick but fun none the less! In my first heat I nailed the hole shot and come out in first! It was a great win and I felt so smooth and confident! For my second heat I wasnt as lucky, I didnt have as good of start and the track was EXTREMELY rough. Reguardless I lead for about 90% of the race, saw guys crash around me but I just couldn't keep my 1st on the last straight away. One of the others guys just got me by about a bike length. It was the most exciting race of the day and the dicing between 1st, and 2nd was great! The wanted that first so bad! But the guy who beat me had some previous experience and I feel that I did great considering I had only ridden with slicks on a dirt oval for the first time the day before!

It was a great weekend and I would love to contine with this series. We (Bryan Watt, Sean Potter and myself) are hoping to do more of these inbetween motocross races and I can not wait! A lot of the older gentlemen who raced the dirt track in the 70's and 80's were extremely impressed with my performance and made me feel great! They helped me a lot over the weekend with tons of tips, and one of the guys even lent me a slider shoe!

I'd like to thank my sponsors for all there support and also thank everyone who helped out with this great event over the weekend!

Hello! Alright so this weekend we are heading up to Olds to take part in a dirt track race..? Yes apparently I am going to do my very first dirt track and I am nervous. I've never  done it before and I think I am going to be riding a 2007 YZ 450F. I will post pictures and update as soon as I back on Sunday! Wish me Luck!

Alright, so the race yesterday was very interesting.

I entered in both Ladies A and Beginner 125, but during my Ladies A class (which I came in 2nd!!) My tire went completely flat and wouldnt hold air ect. ect. We tired everything to get it back in gear but I ended up having to miss my Beginner 125 race as well. So I was completely choked, but Bryan came to my resuce and I rode his 2007 YZ450F in the Ladies A class! It was crazy, I have never ridden his bike before and I only got a few laps on the worn out track to practice. But let me just say, I loved it! I think I could have definitly got used to it and been able to do all the jumps I normally do, but still it had TONS of power and felt like I was wrestling a green cydlesdale. So I came out in 3rd for that race which I was EXTREMELY proud of and I will post pictures if someone took some of me on my bike and the 2007 YZ450F (white!).

Thanks so much!

Thursday Night Motos

The track was great and even though, I started out with a flat tire and I was late for my practice it was a lot of fun and great practice. I rode with the GP Beginners ( they only have four categories: GP Beginner, GP Junior/Interemediate, Pro-Am, and Vet) it was great I had good starts, and the race atmosphere was awesome. We all knew it was mostly 'for fun' but the determintation to win the race was definitly there! I look forward to making this a weekly practice race.

Super Saturday Starts Tomorrow

I am currently getting in gear for the Super Saturday Spring Series that starts tomorrow. My bike, and gear are freshly washed and I am so excited to race in the Ladies and Beginner 125 Classes. I will post pictures and results Sunday!

Thanks!
