When I'm not racing, I'm flying!

Information for Sponsors

My goal, along with the personal one of winning, is to give back value to my sponsors. I am a marketing piece to sell product, disseminate information, and attract attention to a product and company. I want my success to be your success. I am not looking for stickers on my bike and truck along with giveaway products, but rather a relationship that leverages my assets to help sell and promote a company's interests. If a sponsor wants me and my bike for a promotion, I am there. If they wish for me to display my bikes for increased exposure, I will do so without a moments hesitation. The idea behind "support" is to increase value for one`s sponsors. I pledge to do so for all my sponsors.

Personal Q&A

What inspires you to compete?

The constant need for self-improvement. Racing against other competitive idividuals forces me to perform at my best.

Why do you like this sport?

I enjoy the mental stamina required to maneuver at race pace and also to know that the outcome is what you expected when you enter a corner.

Do you train? What does your schedule look like?

I try and make it to the gym at least three times a week. This year I plan to incorporate more cardio into my workout with some road biking.

Do you like to travel? What's your best (clean) road trip story?

I love to travel, but I don't enjoy driving long distances (at slow speeds). During an 8-hour trip to a racetrack some birds flew out in front of our truck. We looked in the rearview mirror and we saw the flying off. Five hours later we arrived at the track and as we walked around the truck we noticed a bird that had hitched a ride with us. Apparently, it had been stunned and the windblast from the freeway kept it pinned to the grill for the remainder of the trip.

How's Life Treating You?

Not bad. I've been able to see a lot of the world during the last year. I'm recently married. I'm also very excited about the 2007 WMRRA race season. I've already picked up some sponsors and am waiting to hear back from some more.

Competition Q&A

How did you get started?

During the Internet boom a lot of my hometown friends were making good money and had purchased the latest motorcycles. I'd always been interested and so I started saving for my own motorcycle, a 2000 Yamaha R6. After being run off the road by a truck that thought it was ok to use two lanes, I was pretty shaken up. My friend introduced me to the track day scene and I was hooked. After attending a few track days, I met up with Dennis Pegelow of DP Safety School. He offered me a job working setup and tech inspection and I was at the track every month during the season. As my riding skills increased I eventually began instructing. I had to hang up my motorcycle helmet while I was going through pilot training with the Air Force, but the moment that was completed I enrolled with WMRRA.

List your competitive highlights

A few top 5 finishes in both the WMRRA sprints and in the Northwest Endurace Cup.

What are you planning for next season?

I'll be competing in the 600 Supersport and Superbike classes. My work Adrenaline Freaks Trackdays has helped both my exposure and my sponsor's exposure and ultimately in faster times at the track. At the end of the 2007 season I was approached by the ZeroProfile Race Team and asked to be part of the team. I'm excited for the next season and all the opportunities it will bring.

What has been your biggest accomplishment?

3rd place finish on my first race with WMRRA. The track was wet with rain and it was my first time riding as competitive speeds in the rain.
