Goals for 2007

For the 2007 season I plan to compete in the WMRRA 600 Supersport and Superbike classes at Pacific Raceways and Spokane Raceway Park.  My race times will continue to improve with each day at the track.  I intend to compete in an endurance race at Portland International Raceway.

Riding History

I started riding in 2000 after I purchased my first bike, a 2000 Yamaha R6.  After being run off the road by a truck that thought it was ok to use two lanes, I was pretty shaken up. My friend introduced me to the trackday scene and I was hooked.  After attending a few track days, I met up with Dennis Pegelow of DP Safety School.  He offered me a job working setup and tech inspection and I was at the track every month during the season. As my riding skills increased I eventually began instructing.  I had to hang up my motorcycle helmet while I was going through pilot training with the Air Force, but the moment that was completed I enrolled with WMRRA. I now race a 2003 Yamaha R6 that was formerly Chuck Graves’, of Graves Motorsports, personal race bike.  During the off-season I installed a “lipstick” video camera on my bike to help critique and better myself and other’s race lines. I offer my service to other racers to help setup their bikes for the next race and trackday season.

About Me

I grew up in Northern California and went to college in the Central at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo.  I enlisted in the Air National Guard as an F-16 Avionics Technician to help pay my way through college.  I graduated Cal Poly with a B.S. in Business Administration with a concentration in Networking Technologies in 2003.  Shortly after graduation I was accepted into the Air Force's Officer and Undergraduate Pilot Training programs.  My training took me all over the US and at the end of it all I was stationed at McChord Air Force Base near Tacoma, WA.  I now fly C-17s all over the world.  Most of my flights are in support of Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom. I purchased my first  house in May 2005, was married in October of 2006, and am eagerly awaiting the start of the WMRRA racing season in March of 2007.

I love my job, I love my wife, and I love racing motorcycles.
