How I got Started..

My name is Britney Charrier. I am 20 years old and currently live in Noblesville, Indiana but moving to Orlando, Florida in July 2008! I work fulltime with my dad, saving up money to go racing!!!. I have been racing a Kawaski 800 ski for 5years. My Dad, Dean Charrier, owns Dean`s Team Racing, and raced and won several World and National Titles. I grew up going to his races and knew that I wanted to race also as soon as the age limit allowed. I have grown a strong love for the sport and by the time I was 15, I started training for my first year in the 14-15 year old Junior Class. I learned a lot from my dad by going to all his races, watching him and listening to his coaching me. With little experience on the ski my first year of racing in 2003 - I took 1st place in the Region for the Junior Class. I moved up to Novice Women’s Ski Limited the following year and got 2nd at the World Finals in Lake Havasu , Arizona. I also got 1st in the Nation at Nashville Nationals and just recently won the 2008 world finals in the womens novice ski limited class. It has been an amazing experience and I plan on racing for a very long time.

Competitive Highlights:

Winning 2007 nationals and winning world finals in womens ski limited... now im pro :)

2008 Season Plans...

I plan on racing the Pro-Am Women’s Ski Limited and a couple of the Pro-Am Men’s Ski Stock. I love racing with both the girls and the guys because it is very good training and competition for me. My goals are to improve on my skills and continue to stay competitive. Also, to win Pro-Am Women’s Ski Limited in my Region and place in the top 5 at the World Finals.

My Biggest Accomplishments?

My biggest accomplishment was my first year in Women’s Novice Ski Limited when I got 2nd in the 2003 World Finals at Lake Havasu , Arizona and then winning 1st overall in the 2004 Nationals in Women’s Novice Ski Limited.

 About Deans Team Racing

Since going independent from Team Dean's Racing in 1998, Dean's Team Racing has been know as one of the top teams in racing. Dean Charrier has become one of the world's top and most respected mechanic and tuner in the watercraft industry, and also having major influences in R&D with watercraft companies such as Novi. He has accounted for over 30 National and World podium finishes, including Pro Rookie of the Year in 2000 with Rich Taylor, since the beginning of Dean's Team Racing.

This is why I race.....

I love Jet ski racing because its such a competitve and exciting sport. The people I race with also play a huge part in me loving this sport because they are so much fun and keep the sport alive! I am a very competitive person and I have the most fun when I am out there on the course racing against other people. Its such a thrill for me and improving each year gets me more excited to compete in this sport for a long time.

What inspires me to compete.....

My dad inspires me to keep competing each year. I look back at his success in winning many World and National titles and that is what keeps me going. He is an amazing coach, mechanic and most importantly, a father.
